She thought she wouldn't need anyone's help to stop her rage, but finally, amidst her screams and her heartbreaking yellings, she feels two strong hands grab her and hold her body firmly and with strength.
Finally after a minute of exasperation her body comes itself together and the flame leaves her.
At first she feels and hears everything as a hum and a ringing overwhelms her, along with intense dizziness. And when she regains consciousness she can clearly hear voices around her and when she focuses better, she sees Atreus in front of her shouting worriedly and upset and her father holding her back. Fortunately, she no longer feels her body burning. Everything is normal. Now it is over and all of this was just an impulse. She focuses a little better on the boy and listens better to his words, which come out with concern and trepidation.Atreus:Berrie! Berrie, can you hear me? Berrie! Berrie are you ok?
Her father releases her body and she tries to list and think better about what happened a while ago. She can't get them out of her mouth, she can't even talk to them or make a sound.
The combination of the past mistake with the current impulse could even drive her crazy. Because of a stone it happened to her again and she could very easily hurt her father or her brother if she wasn't careful. It happened again, once again. And she can't even explain it in simple words.
Atreus continues to ask questions but her father behind her doesn't seem to react like the boy. He doesn't seem as upset as him but reacts in a different way.Atreus:Did a draugr attack you? Did you get poisoned? What happened?
As she begins to remember what happened while breathing rapidly, trying to find a full breath she begins to speak, trying to hide her unbearable terror.
Berenice:It was... it was a... it... b-boy? Did you see that?
Atreus:We heard you screaming and then we saw you on the ground! You acted like someone set you on fire! What happened?Berenice is at least happy that she didn't hurt her brother.
She turns around to look at her father in the hope that - as always - he will tell them to forget about it. But when she looks at him, surprisingly, he doesn't look at her with fear and wonder, but with concern and maybe awareness of what she did.
His gaze expresses concern for something but at the same time absolute awareness. It's obvious that he knows very well what happened but he doesn't tell either of them.
Berenice also stares at her father in despair and terror. A few tears begin to cover her eyes when combined with her memories, her current fear also struggles.Berenice:Father... that was... I...
Atreus:Father what happened to her?
Berenice:There was a stone over there. An orange stone, like a healing stone. But when I touched it it made me...Kratos recognizes this stone very well - they are stones that increase the wrath of a god to supreme power and in his daughter's case the Spartan Rage. But he cannot reveal such a thing to her. He has to keep it a secret.
And nor Berenice cannot reveal her past to him. She has to keep a secret as well.
All she can do is release her grief and start crying like a baby. There is nothing else she can do right now.Atreus:Are you okay?
Berenice:Father... the stone...Kratos brings his daughter's crying face close to his with his hands in compassion and wipes away her tears making her look at him.
He knows very well that what happened to her is his fault and that she is not responsible for it. He can't blame her or preach her.
He can only warn her about the rage stones. So that's what he does.
