1)The Sword of Victory: A sword made from Kratos and gifted to his daughter in her tenth birthday. The Sword Of Victory can ignite like the Blades Of Chaos. It was made for her by Kratos using metal from Greek Mythology (Adamantine), Aegir Gold and spoils of war from his past victories.
2)The Runic Axe / Faye's Legacy Faye's Legacy axe is able to channel wings and storms against the enemy. The axe was found by her mother years ago but she never got the chance to use it. When Berenice killed her first draugr, Faye gifted this axe to her daughter. The axe has the Yggdrasil tree shape on the blade and runes etched on the handle.
Berenice was born 6 years before Atreus and right after Kratos' marriage with Faye.
STORY
Early life Berenice was conceived first in family between the Greek demigod-turned-God of War, Kratos and a Jötunn named Laufey, whom he called Faye. She has always been a kind, easy going, gentle, creative and knowledgeable girl. Kratos was rarely home because he was practicing control over his rage which Berenice thought as hunting but she was really close with her mother.
As a younger girl, Berenice spent most of her time with her mother and when she was 6 years old, she also had a brother, Atreus whom she adored from the day she was born. She loved having language, mythology, history and geography lessons with her mother and babysitting her little brother. Her father taught her some battle skills too, basically archery, sword fighting although she never really trusted to open up to him but only listen and learn to his techniques.
When she grew up she became a understandable, gentle and kind but also dynamic, stubborn, creative and strong girl who loved hunting, mythology, archery and poetry. She was obsessed with myths and books her mother was bringing her home and she adored every trip she was going with anyone, in order to explore and find more books and papyruses to read. She used to adore learning about Vanir magic or the mysteries of other realms and adored to play the flute sometimes. Ever since she was 10 years old her father started training her in battle and she seemed to be a skilled and smart warrior especially in the art of archery and surprise attacks. Her brother admired her very much, especially when they had lessons along with their mother. When Kratos took her in haunting with him to check her progress she seemingly succeeded to haunt in success. From a young age she seemed to be the type of warrior that would choose peace than war but that would do anything, even stay for those she loved, like her mother, Faye. Still thought she was really introverted, like her father.
As a child she never had health problems that Atreus was having but sometimes she would have telepathy senses and some mysterious ways of finding the spiritual world and paths that others couldn't easily get through.
Then she grew as a teenager she loved discovering places to have for her own, and write poetries in peace, knowing that the area didn't have draugr and monsters. She was still close to Atreus and her mother but she was getting more distant to her father. She started to prefer solitude in peace.
She was 15 years old when she fell in love for the first time in her life and loved a young traveller named Dartan. She never revealed her feelings to anyone but her mother about her love. Love blinded her ever since and she visited his village every day, through a day - long trip with draugr on the way and did everything to impress him with her Knowledges and battle arts. Although her skills and knowledges were obvious, the girl's trials were pointless. Dartan loved another, more beautiful girl, perhaps the most beautiful girl in his whole area. In fact that girl was a known huldra, named Alaya whom all men immediately would fall in "love" with. Men knew few about the dangers of huldras so did Dartan and so he was bound in a fake obsessive dangerous love. Berenice knew that for Dartan this was a seduction from Alaya and even if she tried to warn him he was confronting her, by calling her a "Jealous Mad Liar". This filled her heart with hatred but was still keeping it hidden from everyone.
One day she travelled to the village of Dartan not only to see him but because she also wanted to warn all the men of his town about the beautiful huldra girl. In her trials Alaya started to blame Berenice for "harassing" her and she got really embarrassed in front of the whole town as "mad". In this town, that day, a strange man happened to be there and he claimed that he always wanted to have the beautiful forest huldra hoping she would help him feel "pleasure" he couldn't get by anyone. On that same evening Berenice visited Dartan, the stranger threatened Alaya to please him or he would kill her in the spot. Berenice didn't want to stand up for Alaya but still decided to fight the man. Even if Berenice tried though, he couldn't be beaten because he couldn't feel pain so after several failures she eventually gave up. And then Alaya mocked the girl by saying something that frustrated Berenice:«Look, what men would do for me! No man, not even even your own father would even move a muscle for you!». At that exact moment, Berenice became so outraged and mad that her anger turned for the first time into a burst of Spartan Rage, ending up kicking that man far away and killing Alaya, by punching her chest with great force. But this was something that she instantly regretted. After that, Dartan while weeping over Alaya's body cursed Berenice and threatened to kill her once he saw her again. All the village, seeing what happened was throwing rocks on her, so some marks were left on her back. She returned home heartbroken by night, in tears and shock. She told her mother everything that happened and from this day forward her mind was never safe. She would suffer with the guilt every night, she would cry and scream in the high hills, and sob in her mother's arms every night. She never revealed to her father anything especially that she loved Dartan. And she never ventured near the area of Dartan.
Guilt was killing her and haunting her every night. She was so frightened to talk to her father or brother and she spent her days to bust her anger in haunting and erase her sorrow in hiking and poetry. She even got less close to her brother and stopped spending time with him. She preferred to be completely alone... For two years she tried to overcome the past but since the day of the incident the girl increasingly felt that she was unable to do anything. This tortured her every day and she wanted to hunt less and less. Her mother helped her overcome the past but she could not accept it and truly overcome it.
She was 17 when that her mother died in a battle and she lived with her father, with whom she did not align much and her brother. She was so devastated and heartbroken that she lost all of her strength and self esteem. She decided to paint the same blue tattoos her mother had on her cheeks hoping that a part of her would live within her forever. After that, in order to satisfy her mother's will, for her and brother to be close she brought Atreus close to her again...
