A small note: In this chapter the time and events flow a little differently but if you read all the chapters till the end then you will understand the reason...

Berenice couldn't believe it...
Her father reaches out and gives her the bag of her mother's ashes. A powerful privilege that she always wanted to claim.
Only recently did she believe that she would never carry the ashes, but her father is already giving her a bag of ashes, with a free and calm expression on his face.
When Berenice sees the bag in her father's hands and takes it in her own hands, she looks into her father's eyes full of emotion, ready to cry.

Berenice:What? You're giving me... the...
Kratos:Yes. Carry her.

Berenice takes the bag still in disbelief and emotion and holds it tightly, smiling and gasping with immense happiness. He can't believe it...

Atreus:Oooh... lucky Berrie!
Berenice:Thank you!
Kratos:If your mother saw how willing you were to defend your brother she would be proud.

Berenice puts the bag in her pocket, pulling the strings tight, so tight that she doubts she'll be able to untie the knot afterwards, but she wants to be sure it won't fall off...
When she ties the bag's laces in her belt and she smiles at her father looking at him with bright blue eyes under her blue tattoos which remind Kratos of the same beautiful eyes of his wife... he is sure he did the right thing by giving away the ashes. Because his daughter became her own mother, fair, just, unstoppable, wise but also with an open, priceless heart. She deserves this...

Kratos:Come. Let's get this over with. We are very close to the end.

Wiping some ready tears from her eyes and holding the bag firmly in her hand, Berenice accepts Æskil on her shoulder, and prepares to continue the journey, casting one last glance at Sigdrifa's dead, bloody body before they leave.

Kratos leads them all to the circular platform they came to before, flips the lever and they begin to climb up, to topple the temple.
As they ascend Æskil decides to praise his master for her achievement.

Æskil:You did an amazing job, mistress!
Berenice:I did what had to be done.
Æskil:And you did it very well. You are an amazing warrior. Worthy daughter of your father!

Berenice interprets and relays the eagle's words to the others, smiling.

Berenice:Æskil says I am worthy to be your daughter, father.
Mimir:We knew that from the beginning, lass. Berenice:Really?
Mimir:Besides surviving a battle with Valkyries and a battle with the sons of Thor, you remain unbearably stubborn.
Kratos:Hgh...

Berenice smirks along with Atreus while Kratos looks up, indignant, while growling.

Mimir:But beyond our victories... I know I promised but if this doesn't work remember: Tyr created these barriers for a good cause. Keep Odin out of Jötunheim, but the world is far from peaceful!
Berenice:Yes, but since we've come this far, I say we should go back without the rune. After all, what do we have to lose?
Atreus:Yes! And you may be right Mimir, but there is hope. We are all trying together now. We have unity! That's what the rune on the door told us. We are on the road of Tyr!
Berenice:I know that... oh... you meant it figuratively.

Berenice begins to admire her brother's words of wisdom and lets him lay his head on the side next to her as they go. When they get back to the lower part of the temple, from which they have severed all connections to the ground below, Kratos approaches and prepares, for a hard push...

Mimir:Push with your feet brother!
Atreus:He knows that...
Mimir:I'm just trying to help...!

And then Kratos, seizing the floor, literally with his hands, puts all his strength into it and begins to lift the whole piece of the temple, as if it were a pillow, while the children watch with rapt attention and admiration as their father lifts such weight...
But he not only succeeds but also lifts the whole ground up, so that with great momentum this piece flips over and stands on the opposite side it was on for so long, thus accomplishing their goal and literally flipping the temple over.
