After the emotional moment between Kratos and his children during the boat through the river, they finally arrive at the temple of the 9 and as they walk down the wide hall, with the bodies of elves, all three remain silent. Of course there is nothing else left to be said.
The boy is the one who, as always, breaks the silence.

Atreus:Father, Berrie... I've got a confession to make.

Berenice, surprised, concentrates on the boy's words, and decides to make a little joke to cheer him up, since he was in a bad mood before anyway.

Berenice:Did you use to pee on your bed when you were older as well?

Atreus lets out a whiny moan and Berenice smiles at the same time.

Atreus:No! Those voices in my head... well, this wasn't the first time I heard them.

But Berenice is not really surprised by this. She knew that way before. But probably the boy wanted to confess this to their father alone.
When they used to play together, in the yard and in the snow, the boy used to hear some voices which had no source of origin in the areas near the trees. He was just listening to them and telling his sister or his mother.
At first when he told his mother and sister about the voices, Berenice didn't believe him, because when they still spent time together he was very young, and he was a young child so she didn't take him seriously.
Until one day, five years ago, when she, their mother, and Atreus went for hunting. And they decided to hunt a boar. So while they were looking for tracks, their mother saw Atreus talking to a beaver. There, the anxious little boy warned them that according to the beaver's words, a snowstorm was coming and that they should find cover. Neither Faye nor Berenice believed him. After a while, a strong wind began to blow and untamed snow engulfed them, which made it difficult for them to return back to the house...

And to this day the reason why the boy hears these voices is unknown. Their family in general has several potentials and gifts that are unknown to everyone...

Berenice:Oh! Yes, I remember this from the old days!
Atreus:Yes... in fact, when we met Brok, the animal warned me about something hiding in the trees. That's why she didn't want to cross the street.
Kratos:Did she tell you?
Atreus:I just... could feel what she was feeling. What she was afraid of...

Berenice looks at her father, and although she sees the same sullen expression as always she can clearly see that there is some knowledge beneath his gaze...
Something that if he recklessly and stubbornly asks him, he will not be able to learn. She has to wait for the right moment to ask him without him having any other choice. If she asks him at a time when he will have no choice he will have a better chance of finding out the answer.

Kratos:Hmm... if it happens again you tell me. You understand?
Atreus:I promise I will! Berrie... do you think the war will stop after what we've done?
Berenice:Um... I don't know. Maybe.

So they continue on to the great door, to the central hall of the temple, then inward, across the bridge of light, and finally to the tree of Yggdrasil, where they will travel through it back to Midgard, now that they have the light inside the Byfrost.
It is ironic. They came simply for a light, and they mediated so much that it would almost take a whole book for Berenice to describe their adventures back in Midgard.
The tree and the blue lights, the white flowers below and the thousands of damselflies under its leaves, is as Berenice remembers it. Beautiful, poetic and enchanting.

Atreus:What now?
Kratos:We have the light. We are going to Midgard.
Berenice:I will miss the beauty of Alfheim...
Atreus:Maybe you'll come back soon princess...

Berenice smiles and walks over to the bridge that the roots previously formed for the water table in the middle, inside the white tree, so they can travel back.
Kratos places and screws the witch's Byfrost into its base as before, the glitter flakes through the water emerge and the 9 miniatures for the 9 realms appear.
