Chapter Fifteen - The Children of Thor

Fortunately as the massive rock-sized hammer fell and shattered the thick ice, Kratos managed to catch his children in time and they fell safely onto his own weight, unharmed.
When they all fall to the ground under the broken ice and the hammer slowly tilts towards them their father manages to block it with his hands and put all his strength to protect his children from its weight hammer and only a few traces of ice and snow fall on them.

Mimir:You're cracked, you know that?!

Kratos pushes the head acde grumbling at the comment while Berenice laughs as she brushes all the snow from around her hair and fur.

Kratos:Are you both okay?
Berenice:I am. Baby boy?
Atreus:Yes...
Kratos:Good. Let's move on.

As above their heads there is the edge of the hammer like a menacing ceiling ready to crush them down they crawl down through the snow and reach between the walls and sheets of ice everywhere, and when they come out of their frozen cave they find a cave, collapsing a huge layer of ice down thus revealing the bottom of the ice where the magic chasel is.

Atreus:The chasel!
Mimir:Give it to the man! He has a talent for braking things!

Berenice, as she shakes the last snow off her, smiles.

Berenice:It has been known for a long time.
Kratos:Remember that head.
Mimir:I never do.

Kratos is the first to hook onto the wall full of ice and snow with the boy on his back and Berenice follows behind, climbing with them.
And as they go along at one point Berenice loses her balance as sheets of ice fall down and almost on top of her. So her hand slips from where it was being held.

Kratos:Girl!

But before her hand slips her father grabs her and holds her back from falling down.

Kratos:I got you!
Berenice:Oh... that was close!

As the icicles fall down and Berenice manages to climb back to her base holding onto the wall she takes deep breaths of relief and this time she holds on tighter.

Kratos:Are you sure you can do it by yourself?
Berenice:Yes, I'm fine.

And even though she wants to keep climbing something still distracts her. Something unpleasant that can be heard from afar and beyond the icy winds around them...

All three can hear the voices they heard earlier at the top when they met Thor's children visiting Mimir. Like an unpleasant visit from afar that they want to avoid...

Magni:Where is he?!
Modi:Bullshit! I hate Midgard! How do we know if he's even here?!
Sigdrifa:Oh, I can't stand the humidity anymore, it's ruining my hair! And it has stained my dress with snow... stupid stinking kingdom! Was it necessary to come here to this stinking corpse?!
Modi:Ooooh... don't you know when to shut up?!
Magni:Quiet... both of you! I was sure that this girl I saw before, with the blue tattoos, said she was traveling with her father! And that hammer, it didn't fall by itself!

Magni:If indeed the girl I saw traveled with them I will take her, for me only. Don't forget that she may indeed be Ylfrinn if she is traveling with them.
Sigdrifa:Anyway, I had no intention of freezing over here for you to bring the whores to your bed!

And from then on the voices either drifted away or simply faded away...
