Chapter 4

Eileen's POV

"Baby?" Micah calls from his bedroom.

"Yeah?"

"Have you seen my pods?" 

"Check your bag, the one with your ball and sweater."

"I already checked baby and I can't ....oh thank you."

"You're welcome." I smile to myself and shake my head at his laziness.
It's the next morning on Saturday and I'm making breakfast for the both of us then Micah has to leave for practice later on since they have a game tonight.

"Morning beautiful." Micah kisses my cheek while walking to the kitchen then proceeds to the fridge and picks out a bottle of water .

"Morning, so you couldn't find your pods huh?" I tease him and he chuckles while taking a seat at the island.

"I was lazy to check baby you know that."

"Oh I know it." I tell him and give him his plate.

"Thank you." He says and I kiss his cheek then sit next to him and we begin to eat.

"You're doing anything today before my game?"

"Yeah, I'm going out with Kayla, Kalia and Amy." I reply and he nods his head.

"You know you can just move in with me right?" He says rhetorically. He has been asking me that for sometime now, infact he has been asking me to move in with him since I agreed to be his girlfriend.

"Micah, you know I can't, my parents..."

"Your parents are not here, what they don't know won't kill them." He cuts me off getting agitated.

"You know I tell them everything, I'm the only child Micah so I try to be good for them."

"You also tell them when we fuck?" He asks clearly angry.

"I didn't mean I tell them everything about us."

"Have a good day." He says and gets up walking out not without slamming the door shut.

Micah has a temper , it's a trait of his that I got to know about him the first time we became friends in high school. He has faulted so many times because of his temper but I've got to live with it because I love that man so much.
My phone goes off and it's a group call for Amy, Kalia,Kayla and I .

"Girl please tell me you're not still in bed with your man?" Amy says.

"I hope you're not talking to me." I reply knowing very well that she's talking to me.

"You're the only one with a man so she's talking to you obviously." Kayla says .

"You've got a man too, what's his name again? And Kalia has a man too" I tell them but notice that Kalia hasn't joined the call.

"Phil , the cute quarterback." Amy says and Kayla groans.

"He's just a friend guys you know he doesn't do relationships." Kayla replies. She's been hanging out with Phil for a long time. I've met him a few times and he looks like a decent man.

"What about Trevor?" I ask her knowing the two of them have had some occasions where they're in heated arguments like an old couple.

"Let's not talk about men, today is our day, no men." Kayla says clearly irritated with the subject.

"So Eileen, you still in bed with your man?" Amy asks.

"No I'm not, he's gone for practice and what gives you the impression that I'm still in bed?" I ask her as I put away the dirty plates.
