Chapter 36

Eileen's POV

"How are you doing today?" The doctor asks while I make myself comfortable in the chair.

"I'm doing good, just here to refill my birth control ."

"Good, let's check you up then we can do a refill as you called it." She chuckles making me smile and she begins the tests so I just wait for the results.

"So, we've run the tests and I don't think you're going to need the refill." She tells me after returning and I frown at her.

"What do you mean doc?"

"When was the last time you had your period?"

"Last month and it's almost coming since my breasts are sore." I explain.

"Well, you're pregnant." She says and I freeze because I'm shocked.

"But, but I had my period."

"That happens but I'm sure it was just spotting but you're two months pregnant." She speaks and I just look at her wondering if she has messed up the results atleast.

"Are you... are you sure those are mine? I mean I'm not the only one who you've seen today."

"I'm sure you're the only Eileen I've seen today and don't worry we have many options." She said as she hands me a file. "You can look through those options and then decide." She explains. "You're still with Micah right?" Dr.Paterson asks as she looks at me with concern. She know that Micah and I are together since he brought me to get my birth control one time and she couldn't stop talking about how he was such a gentleman and how she hadn't seen most men do that.

"I am."

"Talk to him and see what your options will be . It's good to involve the father of the child."

"I know, I'm just shocked."

"I was shocked too, my first time. I was still in college though so you're lucky you've found out when you're out." She tries to console me and I thank her. "I'll see you when you've made your choices."

I get back home after asking my boss to leave work earlier since I don't feel like being at work right now.
Micah calls me and I put my phone in airplane mode because I'm not ready to talk to him so I decide to take a nap to try and forget everything.

"Hey sweetheart." My dad opens the door and walks to my bed. "You've been sleeping for long?" He asks.

I cover up my yawn while sitting up. "Yes, I came back home early and decided to take a nap."

"Are you alright? It's not like you to get home early." He sits on my bed while looking at me with concern and I think about telling him what I found out but I don't.

"I'm fine, I just wanted to take a nap."

"Alright and Micah is downstairs waiting for you." My eyes widen when he says that and he gets up from the bed.  "What's wrong? Y'all argued or something?" He frowns while looking at me.

"No, no why?" I get off my bed.

"He said your phone has been off for a long time and you didn't pick up your phone when it was still on." He explains and I know that Micah is worried because he never tells anyone about our arguments it's always the other way round.

"I put it in airplane mode because I was so exhausted." I half lie and dad just accepts because he knows I'm not going to tell him the real reason.

"Alright, I'm going to go to my room, if you're leaving with Micah, lock the door on your way out."
