Chapter 5

Eileen's POV

"Micah is right there." Amy points at the bench where I see Micah turn his head looking around the room.

"He's probably looking for his baby girl ." Kayla says and tries to imitate Micah making me shake my head at her antics.

"Ha, so where is my soulmate?" Amy says while looking around the court as if she's going to see her soulmate around.

Trevor and Micah seem to be in a deep conversation as Micah looks around till he looks at me then at Kalia and he smiles a bit but I turn and look away and tune in the conversation the girls are having.

"Micah won't stop looking this way, give the man some attention." Kayla says while nudging me.

"I'm still mad at him." I mumble lowly.

"Girl stop being petty and look at the man." Kayla tells me as Amy agrees with her.

"He'll literally walk here if you don't look at him right now." Amy says and I look at Micah who is already looking at me with pleading eyes.

"He looks like a lost puppy,poor boy." Kayla says and I roll my eyes.

"I didn't know Trevor was that hot." Amy says making Kayla smack her lips.

"He's not that hot,look at Walter, he's hotter and Owen, he can have me any day and time he wants ." Kayla pretends while looking at the court where the guys are just making shots waiting for the game to begin.

"But Trevor is the hottest." Amy emphasizes . Trevor is Micah's close friend as he says but I call them best friends, he's about Micah's height and they both play for our college's basketball team , he's a darker complexion than Micah and he has a buzz cut same as Owen, who is their friend too.

"Let's just watch the game." Kayla says clearly irritated.

The game begins and Micah is playing the first team and he is good at it, I'm proud of him. His mom video calls me asking to watch her son play. Micah is definitely a mommy's boy and he isn't ashamed of it and his mother loves him so much that I get jealous sometimes.

"My baby is so good." Malia, Micah's mother gushes as she looks at him play.

"You should be here for his next game." I tell her and she nods her head up and down.

"We will, definitely. Is Kalia there with you?" She asks and I turn my phone to Kalia. "Hey baby, are you alright?" Mrs.Chan asks her so I give her my phone and they begin to talk.

"Let me call her on her phone, thank you Eileen." She says and then hangs up and she calls Kalia's phone. I've been close to Micah's mother ever since she let me stay with them when my parents were deported and she also worked on bringing them back to which I'll forever be grateful for, she's my second mother.

"I'm thirsty and the game is finally done. Ciao guys." Amy says as she gets up and we definitely go with her. After grabbing some water and snacks, Amy walks off to talk to her friends leaving Kayla, Kalia and I in the parking lot.

"I'm going to go too, I'll see you tomorrow, I have to meet up with Kaiden and my friends." Kalia says.

"Call me when you need me."

"I will and tell Micah I'll see him later ." She hugs us both then leaves.

"Well, where is your fiancée to take us back to the dorms." She says making me roll my eyes.

"First, he's not my fiancée, second, I don't want to talk to him so we're walking back since it's just five minutes away."

"First, say that to the ring on your finger, second your non athletic ass can't even climb the stairs without panting and sweating like a dog." She says while grinning.

"It's not an engagement ring like I've told you for two years now and besides, I have a fat ass." I mumble the last five words and she huffs then flips me off.

"Hey ladies." Trevor gets in between us while wrapping his arms around our shoulders making Kayla kiss his teeth.

"Hey Trevor." I reply but Kayla rolls her eyes.

"You're not waiting for Micah? He's looking for you, that boy 'bout to run mad." Trevor says while shaking his head then removes his hands from our shoulders making Kayla walk faster away from us.
"This girl." Trevor mumbles under his breathe and makes long strides to where she is and holds her wrist which she tries to pull away but he doesn't budge. They talk, Trevor talks to her and all she does is roll her eyes and shrug and they later walk to Trevor's car and she gets in when he opens the door for her then she turns and looks at me mouthing 'later' as Trevor shuts the door and walks around and they drive off. 

"I was looking all over for you." Micah says and I turn around meeting his grey eyes staring intensely at me and it seems like he took a shower and changed into some joggers and a white shirt.

"Your mom called and watched you during the game." I tell him and look around the parking lot that is filled with students and some parents leaving the game.

"I was looking all over for you, you always wait after my games." He says and I look up at him.

"I just didn't want to talk to you, I.... I didn't like your tone this morning." I tell him while looking at him and preventing myself from tearing up because I can tolerate any other person using a harsh tone towards me but I can't tolerate Micah's.

He sighs loudly and looks down at me then puts his palm on my cheek. "I'm sorry about this morning, I really am sorry Eileen, I just snapped, forgive me?" He leans in and kisses my other cheek making me blush.

"I forgive you." I reply and look down making him chuckle.

"We're going to the club." He says as he walks around me and holds my hand and moves us to his jeep and helps me in then he gets in and we head out of campus.

"So what did mama want?" He asks.

"She just wanted to watch you play and she said she's coming to the next game." I explain to him and notice him smile. He turns to look at me and I look away immediately.

"Oh, you're shy now?" He asks in amusement and I blush. "Where did Kalia go?"

"She said she had to meet up with Junior and her friends."

"Did she mention what is going on with her?"

"No." I lie to him knowing how he will react if he finds out what happened to his sister, his little sister at that.

"Okay." He glances at me then back at the road making me feel more guilty but I know it's not my place to tell him what happened.

We pull up to his apartment complex and head to his room . "You want me to make something to eat or we can order out?" He asks while taking off his shirt walking to the bathroom and I follow him.

"Let's order out, you're from a game baby,I'm sure you're tired." I tell him and he nods his head yes.

Micah takes a shower as I order our food and by the time he is finished, the food is brought and we begin to eat.
"You were so good today ." I tell him and he turns to look at me while chewing as we sit on the stools at the kitchen counter.

"Thank you." He replies while placing his fork down and pulls my stool next to his .
"I'm really sorry about today morning, I know I hurt your feelings."

"It's okay Micah, I already forgave you." I reply and hold back telling him to maybe see someone about his anger issues besides , he rarely gets mad and when he does, he's really mad so that is why I haven't mentioned Kalia's situation because I know he will flip once he finds out.

"Eat up, we're leaving for the club in an hour." He pecks my lips then turns back to his food.

"Do we really have to go?"

"Yes we do, i promise we'll be back earlier." He says and I nod my head.

We eat up then leave for some club that apparently Micah's dad owns. I've always known Micah's family is rich and that his dad owns different businesses almost all over the world literally and he doesn't tell me about all the businesses which I really don't mind.
