Chapter 47

Micah's POV

"So what's the plan?" Pops asks me as we make dinner.

"Eileen's birthday?"

"Yeah."

"She said she didn't want a party so I'm planning on maybe taking her for a trip tomorrow ."

"Where?"

"I'm not sure yet. I'ma ask her."

"You ready to be a father?" He chops the carrots in cubes and places them in the stir fry. Pops and I are making dinner since they have just come to stay with us and celebrate our engagement plus Eileen's birthday . We just wanted to have dinner with my family and Eileen's.

"I feel like I am ready."

"You feel? You have to be sure of this life you're going into. You're going to be a father and husband so you have to be sure."

"I'm sure of this pops. I want to be a great father and husband. Just like you." I tell him and he chuckles.

"I'm glad I have inspired you but you should know that I haven't been the perfect father and husband to you children and your mom, but I had to work on myself and do better. There's nothing like perfect but you should always be there for your family. Always. You should know that marriage is about forgiveness and communication, you have to communicate to your wife how you feel and make sure you listen to her , woman find safety in us being good listener so be that to her." He explains .

"I hear you dad."

"Papa!" Kaia, my baby sister shouts while entering the kitchen .

"Yes baby?" Pops bends down and picks her up. "What is it babygirl?"

"I'm hungry and mama says I can't have chocolate." She pouts and I notice that her speech is getting better.

"That's because you can't have chocolate before dinner."

"But papa, I promise to eat my dinner I just want chocolate."

"Alright, I'll give you only one but don't let your mom know that I gave it to you okay?"

"Okay." She says happily as pops puts her back down.

"I'ma tell mama on your ass." I jokingly tell Kaia who pouts.

"Papa, Mimi says he's going to tell mama and he also said a bad word." She crosses her arms and pouts even more.

"He's messing with you baby. Here you go." Pops gets her one of Eileen's chocolates from the pantry and gives it to her and she runs out of the kitchen.

"Now Eileen gon' have my ass when she notices that her chocolate is missing." I mumble.

"You'll be fine." Pops waved me off.

We continue to make dinner and once it's set for serving, my moms and Eileen begin to set the table and serve the food. We all sit down and begin to eat.

"How long do you have till you give birth E?" Kailyn questions.

"She's got about two months." I answer while feeding some of my food to Eileen.

"That's fast approaching." Eileen's mom says and we all agree with her.

"Why are you feeding her?" Killian asks while looking at me in disgust.

"That nigga in love." Kaiden says making Killian huff and Eileen looks at me shyly. She's adorable.

"Happy Birthday to you." Kalia and Kailyn come out of the kitchen while singing and holding a chocolate cake we got for Eileen.

"Yay!" Kaia exclaims while running around the table to where the cake is placed infront of Eileen.
