Perrie
"Kai? What are you doing here?" I asked when I opened the front door.
"Hey, Perrie. Is Zahra home?" He asked, looking around.
"She started school, so she's not. Why?" I furrowed my brows.
"Listen. You've gotta come get Jade. Let her back in." He said.
"Jade doesn't want to come back, Kai. And I'll be honest, I don't know if I want her to either." I said.
"You and I both know that's not true, Perrie." He said, and I sighed. "You guys love each other."
"Love wasn't enough this time." I replied.
"I'm serious, Perrie. She's going fucking crazy. Whatever is wrong, you guys need to fix it. She's going to end up in jail, or she's going to get herself killed, if she doesn't do it herself first." He said.
"What? What are you talking about. I'm sure she's fine with her other family." I scoffed.
"Her what?" He asked. "I know you don't believe she's somewhere playing house with Jessica after what she did."
"What did she do?" I asked.
"Stole her sperm and used it to get herself pregnant. Possibly twice." He said, and my eyes widened. "Then ran off with all the money she had on her and left her with the first kid."
"What?!" I asked. "Wait, there's another baby too?"
"That's not the point, Perrie!" He said. "I wouldn't be here if this wasn't serious. I'm concerned, and you seem to be the only person who can talk some sense into her!"
"Kai, I appreciate you coming here and believing that I can do anything to—"
"You know she got fired right?" He asked, and my mouth fell open. No, I didn't know that. "And what's worse... she's back running with her old gang."
My stomach dropped.
"What?" I asked.
"And she's fucking ruthless, Perrie. I'm serious. She's way worse than before. AND now she's suddenly started smoking. Heavily. She's losing her fucking mind, and I can't talk to her. She's got our mom raising a kid, while she's out doing deals, hunting and killing for sport." He said. "She's scary, and like I said, she's going to either end up dead or in jail."
"She, what?" I asked again in disbelief. There's no way she's out of control like that.
"She's spiraling. Big time." He said. "You have to do something."
"What do you want me to do?" I asked. "I haven't spoken to her properly in weeks. She only calls to talk to Zahra. She doesn't want anything to do with me."
"You're out of your mind too, if you believe that." He shook his head. "She's sick and hurt, and acting a goddamned fool because of it. Come get your wife."
"We're getting divorced, Kai." I sighed.
"Stop acting crazy! Both of you!" He groaned. "What are you even talking about? A divorce?"
"Where is she staying? Is she at least somewhere safe?" I asked.
"The kid is at my mom's, but she's been staying with her friend Antonio. No where she is is safe though, because she's a danger to her damn self." He replied. "It's like she's got nothing to live for."
"She's got quite a few kids to live for." I said. "Three, maybe four of them."
"What?" He asked. "Wait, are you pregnant? What the—okay. She's out of control for real if she's doing all this with a baby on the way. Does she know?"
