Y/N's POV

Jules invited Morgan and I at her apartment to have a sleepover this weekend, maybe I could take advantage of the situation and finally talk to them both.

I was currently waiting for Morgan to finish getting ready, because yes, shocking, I was done before they were.

"Morgan, we have to go at a sleepover, not at the Oscars! You have been in the shower for thirty minutes!"

"And it's going to be another thirty!"

Damn Jules.

If Morgan said another thirty minutes, I knew that they meant it, in the meantime, I had to do something if I didn't want to die of boredom on this bed.

So I did exactly what I knew would keep me occupied for a good amount of time.

"Little sis! How are you?" My brother's voice echoed through the speakers.

"I'm okay, what about you and Ezra?"

"We're fine, still apartment haunting."

"Ugh, that sucks!"

"Yeah, I know...but enough of this. You have any exciting news about you know who?" Even if I couldn't see him, I just knew that he was smirking the hell out of his face.

"Actually yes, I do!"

"Wait, let me put you on speaker so that Ezra can hear you too!" "Hey Y/N! I'm ready for the gossip!"

"Of course you are, E."

"Just tell us already!"

"Hold on tight, because you might react the same way I did."

"Y/N I swear if you don't talk I'm gonna come there, shove my arm down your throat and get the words out myself!"

"You're so invested in this Ez, it's cute."

"Okay, that's my last straw, I'm coming."

"Shush!'

"Say the words!"

"She wants me to go with her on a work trip. They want her to bring one of her new journalists and she chose me. It's next week, we're staying there for three days."

I couldn't hear anyone speak for a few moments, and I actually thought that I accidentally had hung up or muted the call.

"Ezra just had a heart attack, by the way."

"Oh, that's why the silence."

"Y/N, I swear, if you're not getting some on this trip, you're never getting some again."

"I don't want to get some. I just want to get to know her, that's it. Even though it's not really what a work trip should be about, but you know, never say never."

"Yeah, get to know her...get to know her pants! "Babe..." "Okay, sorry, you're right."

"I'm kinda nervous if I have to be completely honest with you guys. It's going to be just me and her for three days, that's a lot."

"Well, yes, but you can finally get to know her and figure out what you really feel."

That made me remember Stewart's words: "time won't tell, actions and words will, Y/N. Pay attention to the signs."

"I just hope it goes okay, I really don't wanna mess it up now that we are kind of getting along."

"Just be yourself, little sis!"

"Okay, Riv. Well, I gotta go, I'll let you both know how it goes! Love you."

"You better! We love you too!"

When I hung up the call Morgan finally got out of the shower and got ready, and precisely forty minutes after that, we were ready to go.

Jules came to pick us up, and of course I was sitting in the back, the two lovebirds in front of me.

Gross.

Jules' apartment was very nice, it reflected her personality a lot and I immediately felt at home there.

We prepared snacks and started a Halloween movie marathon since Halloween was close.

Eventually, it was past midnight but we still weren't tired, but we were too bored to watch another movie.

It was now or never.

"Guys?" I spoke up, and before I knew it my legs started bouncing.

"What's wrong?" They said at the same time, getting closer to me.

"I need to tell you both something," I murmured, gesturing them to come sit back on the couch.

"Y/N, you're worrying us. What's up?" Jules told me. I really didn't know why I was making this sound a lot more dramatic than it actually was.

But what if Jules got mad over the fact that I accepted to go on a work trip with our boss?

Or Morgan did because I didn't tell them sooner?

No, no. They were better than that.

"Just, let me talk first, okay?" They both nodded at me and there I was, ready to tell them everything they deserved to know.

Here we go.

I told them everything from the very beginning to what happened just a couple of days ago. I told them about the article too, but begged Jules to not take it out on me or Wanda.

"She clearly likes you, that's why she gave you the opportunity. To be fair, if she had called us at the same time, it would have been you. But thank you for letting mine be on the front page, Y/N, I appreciate what you did, and I could never be mad at you.

"Yeah, she wants to get into your pants."

Usual Morgan. Thankfully, Jules slapped them for me.

"So you're not gonna stop talking to me just because I might like my boss and I'm going on a work trip with her?"

"Nah, aside from the fact that she does like you, because she does, and I won't have it another way, you really are talented, Y/N. I was mindblown by your drafts when you let me read them, you have to get your moment too." I didn't deserve Jules, no one did.

Maybe Morgan. Maybe.

"Whatever she said but the part about the drafts. You never let me read what you write, bitch." Morgan exclaimed, throwing their arms in the air in defeat.

"That's exactly why I don't."
