Y/N's POV
Today was the day that Wanda and I would leave for the trip.
To say that I was nervous was un understatement.
I turned off the alarm, jumped out of bed and sprinted to the bathroom, wanting to get ready as soon as possible. Wanda didn't really tell me when I had to be ready, she just told me that we were leaving this morning, so I figured the earlier the better.
Morgan was at Jules', like almost every day now, so I didn't have to worry about waking them up. Yes, they were an earlybird, but six o'clock was early even for them.
I didn't want to take more than thirty minutes. Since she told me we would travel by plane I put on my most comfortable outfit, black loose pants, the biggest hoodie I owned and Nikes at my feet.
I wasn't very used to planes, so I was kind of nervous as to how I was going to react to it, but knowing that I wasn't alone was reassuring.
I just hoped that what happened when she told me about the article wouldn't repeat itself.
I really, really hated being vulnerable in front of other people, and even though I definitely felt more comfortable around Wanda, I still didn't want it to happen again.
Once I was ready I checked my suitcase and was happy to see that I had everything I put on my list.
Look at me being an organized adult.
Just when I told myself that it was okay to get in bed and rest for a few more minutes, my phone buzzed.
"I'm outside. W.M"
I made sure to lock the door and then took the stairs that lead me to Wanda.
And there she was, standing right next to the car. She was dressed in full black, her hair was up in a ponytail again and she had sunglasses on.
"You know, you don't have to sign your texts every time you send them, I know who you are." I teased her jokingly, and she just rolled her eyes at me.
"It's a habit. Come on, get in." She walked to the opposite side of the car and opened the door for me.
"Ah, such a gentlewoman."
"Why, you thought I was something else?" She sounded kind of serious, and I didn't know how to respond.
"I'm joking, Y/N."
"Oh, yeah, sorry."
Wanda drove to the airport, but I was confused when we arrived there and didn't have to get in line to check in.
"Wanda? You're aware that we haven't checked in, right?" When I questioned her she just looked at me before laughing.
I was very confused.
"I may be Wanda to you now, but to other people I'm still a CEO, which means that I'm kinda rich." She gestured for me to follow her and in just a couple of minutes I saw a big plane in front of us.
There was no way...
"This is my private jet, I hope you'll like it."
Was she joking or what?
"Like it? Are you kidding me? I feel like I'm in a movie!" I muttered, still following her to the entrance.
"Good morning, Jackson." She greeted the tall man keeping the door open for us and took her suitcase, then did the same thing with mine.
"Good morning, Mrs. Maximoff. Mrs. Y/L/N."
"How does he...?" I turned to Wanda and she just kept laughing at me. Very helpful, Wanda. Very helpful.
The jet was even more beautiful on the inside: it had white seats with beige details, and the pattern was the same through the whole plane.
"This is...kind of insane." I stated while taking a seat.
"You'll get used to it."
Used to it? As in, I'll be here again?
For when we had to go home, of course.
There was no way that I'd be bere again for other occasions.
Wanda didn't seat next to me, it left me perplexed at first but then it made sense when she opened her laptop and started doing some work.
"We are taking off now." Jackson told us and we both nodded at him.
I didn't process what he said at first, but when I did, my leg started bouncing and my breaths got shorter and faster.
I tried to keep quiet, I didn't want to disturb Wanda, and I didn't want this to happen again.
My heartbeat's pace started increasing, my hands were shaking.
"Y/N?"
I couldn't get any words out, I could barely breathe.
"Y/N? Breathe with me, come on." I tried to follow her breaths, but again, I wasn't successful.
"You can do it, Y/N. You're going to be okay, you're safe. Here, you want to hold my hand?" She offered het hand I quickly took it.
That helped me a little bit, her hand was warm and soft, it fit right into mine.
"Take deep breaths Y/N, come on, follow me." It was still hard for me to keep up with her, but the more she kept instructing me, the more I started to do it.
After a couple of minutes I eventually calmed down, but I couldn't bring myself to look at her in the eyes.
I couldn't believe it happened again.
"Y/N, are you okay?" She asked, but I didn't respond.
"Y/N, look at me." Her voice was soft.
I couldn't. I just couldn't.
"Y/N, look at me." This time, her voice was firmer, like she was commanding me to, ans that was when my eyes met hers.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want this to happen again." I stated, seeing her face soften at my words.
"Don't apologize, Y/N. When are you going to understand that? Never apologize for something you can't control." Wanda caressed my face, and her touch brought me comfort.
"I would say I'm sorry for that but you made your point." My words made her laugh and she retrieved her hands.
"You want me to stay here until we get there?"
"I don't want to disturb your work."
"I'm just answering some emails, it's okay." She took her laptop from her previous seat and sat next to me for the whole flight.
And again, I reminded myself: actions and words will tell.
