Y/N's POV

Besides the not-so-great talk with Ari, my first day back at work wasn't half bad.

My colleagues were all very nice, and even though they noticed that something wasn't right with Ari and I, they didn't mention it, which I was grateful for.

Jules told me all about her and Morgan's weekend trip and it actually sounded fun, I was glad they had a good time.

I left at five o'clock sharp and took the bus home, hoping I wouldn't bump into Ari again since we take the same bus.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket but I ignored it, my music was too important to respond to anyone in that moment.

I waited for my stop and got off once we had finally reached it, feeling like I had been there for a lifetime.

"Hey bitch!"

Ah, my best friend, always a pleasure getting greeted by them.

"Hello, I see the greetings get better every day," I said in a jokeful tone as I walked to my room and put everything down on my bed.

I remembered about my phone buzzing  but not looking at whichever notification I had gotten, so I did that before going in the shower.

Hey, how was your first day back at work?

Who? Ari? Do I have to snap at her again? Because I'll gladly do it.

No, I don't think so. And you're so much better than that, Wanda.

I was thinking you could come over tonight? Or I could? We could have a drink and celebrate you coming back at Oleg? It's totally fine if you don't want to, I just thought it would be fun :)

I got in the shower as soon as I put my phone on my nightstand.

Every time I talked with Wanda I was left feeling giddy, she made me so excited over the little things.

If one of my friends had asked me to go over at theirs after work I probably would have said no, not because I was tired but just because I didn't feel like it, I was always the stay-in kind of person, even if it was just a small gathering between friends.
