Y/N's POV

I made my way into the guest room, the air was so tense you could cut it with a knife.

I sat on the bed, feeling uncomfortable as I had never even seen it, I just knew it was there. I had always stayed with Wanda in her room, in her bed.

The sheets were cold, almost freezing.
I felt the shivers in my body take place of the warmth I was feeling just a few minutes ago.

Again, it felt wrong to be without her, especially in her house where I knew she was just meters away.

I thought I knew her in and out, but apparently, I didn't. I didn't know she still had anger in her, and I don't blame her, but I was just trying to do a good thing. I was trying to be there for my girlfriend just like she was there for me when I had the accident or when I just needed a break from work.

I wanted to repay her in some way, but she didn't let me.

I couldn't understand how she was feeling. I couldn't even imagine how it was. How can it feel when suddenly someone comes into your life and twists the reality you've been living in for years? When they drop a bunch of information you never even thought about on you and expect you ti be fine with it. When they try to take everything from you and it can actually happen.

I was spiraling, not knowing what to say or do, I just recognized I need a safe place, and for how much I hated to even think about it, I was not in a safe place at that moment.

I immediately had my phone in my hands and called the person who's always made me feel as safe as they could.

"Hey, bitc-"

"Morgan, I need to talk to you."

"Woah, what's happening?"

"Wanda...she and I..."

"Deep breaths. Don't let it take the best of you."

"Okay." I did as Morgan said, various deep and slow breaths helped me regain my composure before it got too much to deal with.

"Slowly, tell me, what happened?"

"She was called into work this morning, she said it probably wasn't going to take a lot but lunchtime came and she was still there. I was worried something might have happened to her so I called River because I was panicking, he suggested I brought her some lunch. When I got there..."

"Please tell me you didn't catch her cheating on you because I swear I will-"

"No, Morgan. She wasn't."

"Okay, great. Continue."

"A woman was there, though. They looked so similar and...so different at the same time."

"What about her?"

"She is her sister, Morgan. Well, half-sister."

"I'm sorry...her what?

"It's a long story, what you have to know is that her father was married to another woman before he met her mom and they had a child, Anya. She wants the company. She wants Wanda's place. They never knew about her."

"What? Wanda is working hard to keep Oleg Resources going, what does that even mean? Is Wanda just letting her take her place?"

"That's the point, Morgan. She can't do anything about it, she's just...pushing me away."

"What do you mean? Did you two fight?"

"I mean...kind of. I asked her why she didn't tell me sooner, today wasn't the first time she suddenly got called into work. I could have been there for her and she says that she didn't need me to. I feel like we're back in that hotel room on the work trip. It feels awful."

"Y/N, I'm-" Morgan started, but I heard footsteps come closer and so I put my hand on the phone's mic.

"I'm going at Natasha's, you can stay here if you want. I'll be back soon." I heard Wanda's voice from behind the door.

She couldn't even walk in?

"Okay." I said, making sure she could hear me, then, next thing I heard was the front door shutting.

Wanda's POV

"Wands, what are you doing here?" My head fell down as my eyes were now glued to the floor.

"Nat, I..." I couldn't get words out, only sobs escaped my mouth.

They got the hint, closed the door behind me and I felt their arms wrap me in a hug.

"I fucked up, Nat. I'm gonna lose her. I told her I didn't need help." I cried in my best friend's arms.

What was up with me realizing how shitty my actions were only after I had done it?

It wasn't so hard to think before doing or saying something, but somehow I always found a way to mess that up.

Something so easy and that could make me avoid so many bad situations.

"Who? Y/N? What happened?" They asked once I caught my breath and distanced myself from the hug.

"Can we sit down?"

Once Natasha sat next to me on her couch I told her the whole story, A to Z.

I didn't even tell Natasha, I thought I could handle it on my own, make sure this didn't happen.

But there I was, crying in Nat's arms because I had fucked up the one good thing in my life for something that didn't even directly involve my relationship with her.

We could be together even if I'm not a CEO anymore, but it didn't cross my mind before because I was too busy raising my voice at her and throwing all the processes we had made in the trash bin.

"It's okay to lose control of your emotions sometimes, Wands. What matters is how you deal with it afterward, okay? I know you're sorry but I also know you're worried about Anya. Just know that Anya has nothing on your relationship. You need support. You need a shoulder to cry on, whether it's mine or Y/N's, you can't go through this without someone having your back. You have me, but you need Y/N. Don't push her away, Wanda." They started. "I could keep talking and tell you so many things, but the most important one is that you know that nothing is completely fucked up if you realize the mistake you made. You could have kept being mad at what life is throwing at you right now, but instead, you came to me, asking for the help you thought you didn't need. It's okay to rely on someone else sometimes, especially when pieces of you get shattered. Maybe another person has what it takes to glue them back together."

Nat's words always made me feel understood and safe, every time she said something I know how lucky I was to have them in my life.

"I love you, Nat. Thank you for always having my back." I said as I placed my head on their shoulder.

"I love you too, Wands."
