I was getting hotter, and more restless. I ran my hand through my hair and took a sip of champagne. For the first time I realised the extent of my feelings. I don't think this was a crush anymore. I wanted Vegas. I needed Vegas. I needed him so badly...

I knew the auction had begun. I heard indistinct voices around me that soon grew silent as I found myself getting lost in my thoughts. Each time I blinked, I could only see the white suit Vegas wore. These feelings were consuming me more and more. And merely knowing Vegas was so close to me put me on edge.

"Where's Porsche?" I heard Kinn ask. "Tay, have you seen Porsche?" Kinn repeated. I shook my head and looked around the room. Pete and Big had looks of concern on their face.

"Where's Vegas?" I heard Time say. I immediately turned around and noticed the absent booth where Vegas once sat. I didn't even know he left.

Kinn stood up to speak on behalf of the Major family, but I could sense the worry in his voice when he spoke. His eyes darted across the room, and his speech was a matter of a few seconds. I knew something bad was about to come. Porsche probably found himself in an unexpected situation; that's always what happens with newer bodyguards.

Before I even registered what had happened, I saw Kinn and the guards sprinting up the stairs. And then it began...The most unfortunate incident of the night.

Kinn and the guards ran off to find Porsche, but Time and I knew better than to follow. Kinn was a leader and liked working only with his guards. Us, his friends, had no place beside him when war was happening and chaos ensued.

Even I felt feelings of anxiety creep up as I sat patiently waiting for Kinn to return. I tightened my grip on my glass and bit my lip, hoping Porsche hadn't gotten into trouble or hurt. Even though the bodyguards weren't responsible for me, I couldn't help but worry taking into consideration how dangerous the mafia world can be.

'I'm heading to the bathroom. I'll be back in a bit,' Time said. The instant he turned his back, I rolled my eyes.

'Yeah, right, bathroom,' I muttered, knowing full well he was probably on his way to meet someone. More often than not, he got away with cheating, but now that there was chaos, well that made things even easier for him.

Only a few guests remained in the room, while staff were removing the diamond cases and packing up the event. I was unsure as to what I was still sitting here, all alone. It was certain no one would be coming back. I wanted to leave the event, go home and relax, but I wanted to stay more than anything else. I hoped Vegas was still in the hotel. I just wanted to see him a again. A small glance, but I knew that was unlikely.
