"Tay," he said once again, causing me to look in his direction. The instant we made eye contact, he continued speaking, "Took you long enough, I have called out for you several times now."
I scoff, but tried not to show any emotion. His attitude was annoying, but he was still so hot. He was so forward in everything he did and said. He really had no regard for anyone.
"Sorry, I could barely hear you with the wind," I lie, trying to explain. I can't exactly tell him that I'd never imagine him speaking to me, let alone saying my name so I assumed someone else had called me.
"Come here," Vegas said as he gestured with his hand. I nod and walk toward him. I felt drawn to him and this new experience of interacting with Vegas made me more excited than anything has ever before. But it goes without saying, despite these positive emotions, I couldn't help but feel nervous. I scared myself sometimes especially when I was around my crushes. I always act irrationally and it's like my brain loses all functionality when I see them. Now, this instance was far more serious than anything else. I was Kinn's friend. Vegas hated Kinn. Any irrational behaviour could cause an array of problems between the Major and Minor families that quite frankly didn't need to happen...
I sit beside Vegas being sure to keep a large enough space between us. I heard Vegas chuckle causing me to look at him. "What?" I say, confused.
"Nothing, nothing. But I'm not going to bite you. You can sit a little closer," he spoke calming, stretching out his other arm and moving nearer to me. It was that word. Bite. It send blood rushing to my face. I was so glad it was night; it helped me hide my very obvious blush from Vegas. Something I hoped he'd never see. Bite...I find myself losing myself in my thoughts. I bit the edge of my lip. Bite...Vegas' mouth on mine, Vegas' mouth on my body...The thoughts felt like electricity running through my body. I needed this man so badly.
"Tay?" I heard Vegas say again. "Are you okay? You look a little flustered."
I just nod, "Mhm. I am fine."
"Did I stop you from doing something by calling you here?" Vegas continued talking. "Were you looking for someone?"
I shook my head. "I just came for a walk. Kinn and Time are...busy," I hesitated as I mentioned my boyfriend's name. I didn't even want to know what he was doing, who he was with. Right now, all I cared about was Vegas and trying not to let my feelings get in the way of my judgement.
"Well, that's good then. I could use the company. These thoughts of mine were getting a bit...loud," Vegas spoke smiling a little. I look over to Vegas and watch him as he stares into the distance.
"Care for some champagne?" Vegas asks as he turns in my direction.
"I wouldn't mind some," I speak. I reach out and pick up the glass from the deck that laid beside Vegas. The one I watched him use earlier and bring it to my lips, taking a sip of the remaining content.
"Woah, wait!" Vegas lets out slightly alarmed, his hands reaching for mine. "I meant I'd get you another glass. I already drank from that..."
