Somewhere along the course of the night Tay became more sober, having downed several bottles of water as he caught up with his partner.

They were sitting in his living room, Tay on the floor against the couch and Vegas on the sofa providing a platform for his lover to lean on. Mostly, they stayed quite as neither of them wanted to say anything to disrupt the pleasantness of seeing each other after such a long time.

Never before had Vegas and Tay actually fought or got into some sort of argument but since Tay left and the whole build up to this decision being made left them both feeling very strong emotions which they knew could blow whatever conversation they had way out of proportion.

"Are you tired, baby?" Vegas asked as he stroked the other's black hair.

Tay shook his head and looked up with a soft smile spread across his face. "I'm so happy, Vegas," he spoke. He never for once thought this would be his reality. Seeing Vegas again. And he always assumed that if he did, they'd ignore each other. But that nothing of that sort even happened. Vegas still loved him. He was here in his home, holding him, as if nothing had changed and they had been boyfriends all along.

"I missed you, Tay," Vegas whispered.

Tay brought himself up next to Vegas and leaned his head on his shoulder. "I missed you, Vegas."

It felt exactly as if they picked up where they left off that day.

Vegas placed his thumb and forefinger on Tay's chin and turned his face so he could see his lover clearly.

Tay's eyes widened in interest, expecting Vegas to tell him something. Perhaps another sweet compliment or how much he missed him again. But nothing of that sort happened. Vegas just observed the man, his eyes slowly moving down his face, as if he was trying to memorise each and every feature Tay possessed.

Tay looked up at the other, yet Vegas seemed distracted having their faces close by. The skin of his lower lip was caught between his teeth. Despite not saying any words, so much was still being said by Vegas. He slowly caressed Tay's chin and ran his eyes over and over his face as a loss of words by the beauty of his lover.

Not for a second did Vegas forget Tay. He was constantly on his mind throughout the past six months. Everything that had went down with Kinn and Time had certainly blown out of proportion for Tay to make the decision to move abroad in such a haste.

But what wasn't common knowledge was that despite his lack of effort to get Tay back the day he bid him and Kinn farewell, Vegas fully intended to fight for his love. He'd never felt something quite like this. Tay was his. Someone who truly loved him for more than just his title or money. But more than that, Tay was only his. His lover. His partner. His everything. He didn't have to share.

Tay is the first person Vegas can shamelessly be himself around. Whether it's his romantic side or being a very horny person, Tay let him be whatever he wanted. Tay let him be aggressive at times, sweet at times, demanding at times and calm at times. The time he spent with Tay, Vegas had felt emotions he never thought were possible or acceptable. Emotions like desire and affection. He'd never met anyone like Tay before and very suited to his character, Vegas would do anything to keep Tay by his side.

But things were a little different when it came to pursing Tay. Vegas knew better than to use his deceitful and aggressive tactics to keep Tay near him. Honestly, it would have been easy to kidnap the man and keep him under lock and key in a room only Vegas knew about. That way Tay would remain his secret lover and no one could ever try pull them apart again. But despite that sounding like quite a compelling path to follow, Vegas knew better than to treat the man he loved like one of the thugs he often tortured in his basement.
