exploring the city (pt. 4)

Y/n's POV

I hate saying it, but I'm kind of glad it's the last day me and Casey are being dragged around new York. I'm tired, I just want to sit for a couple days and think.

I want to let my mind wander, I need to go through all my thoughts and sort them out, but I can't do that yet. At least not until there's nothing important happening.

I especially need to figure out this whole Donnie thing. I have absolutely no idea what's wrong with me, and as much as I like these feelings of warmth and happiness when I'm around him, I don't like how it scares me because I don't know why I'm feeling it.

Currently, I'm sitting outside on the roof again. Part of me wished Donnie would spontaneously appear next to me, but I knew that wouldn't happen. I just sat criss crossed, staring and looking through my watch. I barely taken it off, only to take a shower and sleep. Donnie had put an eternal battery in it, along with small solar panels along the sides, so I didn't have to worry about it going dead.

I easily hooked it up with my phone, and could do almost anything with it. I unconsciously smiled while looking at it, not knowing what I would've done with my life if I didn't have my family back.

A ding from my watch caught my attention, and I looked at it seeing a text from Raph saying "we're here."

''we'? Who'd he bring with him?'

Curious, I quickly got up and went downstairs, heading to my door to find Raph and April patiently waiting.

"Hey guys! Didn't expect to see you today April, I thought today was just raph's day?" I greeted them with a smile, voicing my inquiries.

April smiled brightly at me. "Hey y/n! It was, but we were both planning on taking you guys to the same place so we might as well just all go together." She explained as I approached my door.

"Oooh, Yea that makes sense. Come in, I honestly have no idea what Casey's doing, I've been up on the roof." I opened up the door and let them inside, they gladly took my offer.

Raph came in after April and closed the door behind him, while I turned around not seeing Casey. "Casey! They're here!" I called out, seconds later hearing a couple thuds and his door opening.

"They are?" He quickly came out and beamed when he saw them, albeit a little confused.

I noticed his confusion rather quick. "Are you ready? I wanna see what they have planned." I thought it'd be best to let him connect the dots, so I just changed the subject slightly.

"Yep! Let's not waste anymore time!" Casey was like a child, in more ways than one.
The three of us chuckled at Casey as the boy ran out of the apartment.

We walked for a little, Casey excitedly following close behind raph, who was leading, while April walked next to me behind the boys.

Step after step, I wanted to focus on my surroundings, but I could only zone out while staring at my feet and the sidewalk, subconsciously skipping every crack in the ground.

While walking though, I started feeling sick. I was sweating, but I could feel cold air all around me. I felt like i was going to get lightheaded and dizzy, but I new id be able to keep my balance, if at least for a little.
