Y/n's POV

This should be a pretty obvious thing, but having a sprained ankle and being under house arrest by your friends sucks.

I'm healing just fine, but because it's only been a few days since the whole situation happened, I can't go anywhere.

The turtles and April have been doing things with me to keep me busy and not bored, Leo even took my a couple select places with his portals a few times- on the one condition that Donnie tagged along.

Donnie has been much more stern about me staying off my feet as much as possible, he even built a wheelchair if I absolutely had to get around and move a lot.

I truly appreciate everything they've done for me, but it still is irritating. Especially when they're all busy and have to leave me in the lair, like right now.

April has her university to keep up with, and the mutant family all had a mission to go on in the hidden city, meaning even if I used the wheelchair, I wouldn't be allowed anywhere near any of them or what they're doing.

I've even tried contacting Casey, because every since he left, we've been talking every single day so he could share everything about his travels, but he didn't answer.

Right now, I'm just sitting in the living room on splinter's chair, listening to music and spacing out. I would've played specific songs that I like, but I've listened to all of them so much that I'm afraid of getting absolutely sick of them.

Therefore, Im just playing random playlists and listening to literally anything that comes on.

I quickly lost track of time and didn't notice the guys get back until I heard loud voices calling out to me telling me what happened on their mission. I looked around watching as they all crowded around in the living room.

They told me about each of their favorite parts of the mission, and I listened intently. Once they got through the whole story, Donnie spoke up.

"Oh! And on the way back we stopped by your apartment. I wanted to see if there was anymore tech we could fix, and it just so happens that this is the last piece!" He excitedly handed me a bag.

I examined it, it was an old visor, I had used it to track heat signatures and keep an eye on my own vitals, and, y'know, to protect my eyes, but either way it was one of the most important pieces of all my equipment.

I smiled warmly at it, and a rush of nostalgia came over me. I turned the bag around to take a good look at all the pieces, wondering what improvements could be made, but I had accidentally pressed a button.

A light shone from the device, moving out into the open until it formed a hologram. We all stared in pure shock at what was in front of us all.

All four brothers, splinter, and April. All of their future selves, standing side by side with big smiles on their faces. They were all happy, and healthy, and They were talking, taking turns saying different things. It was very glitchy, but it was clear that it was a message of encouragement.

Michelangelo was the main speaker, but they all added in something special. I never thought I'd see them again, watch and hear their voices coming from them and not their younger selves. I thought I was finally getting over this whole situation.
