I Love It ~Christmas/New years Special~

(hey everyone! This chapter does go off
of the main story line, but it's not connected to the main story, so think of it as a oneshot. this is simply because there's things that I wanna add in the real story that wouldn't fit otherwise. Hope you like it!)

Y/n's POV

"Alright everybody! Time to draw names for secret Santa!"

It was December 5th, and April had decided that all of us (minus splinter, m/n, and Draxum) would do secret Santa this Year.

Me and Casey didn't know what secret Santa was, because we didn't get to have big Christmas' in the apocalypse. All we got was little homemade gifts from our teachers. it wasn't much at all, but it was still fun.

Luckily for us, Mikey happily explained in great detail, so now we're all caught up.

Basically, everyone writes their names on little slits of paper, then each name is folded up and put in a hat to be shuffled and passed around.

Whichever name you get, you have to get a present for, but you cannot let the person know you got them until you give them the present.

The rules for this secret Santa, are we have until Christmas to get the presents, then on new years eve before the ball drops -me and Casey didn't know what that meant either, but the others said to wait and see because it was too exciting to describe- we get to hand out the secret Santa gifts.

We also had to put the gifts in plain brown paper bags with a small tag inside that showed who the present was for, then we had to give all the bags to one of the adults so they could put them somewhere safe until we opened them.

We also also had two rules for who got who. Two people can't get eachother so things are more mixed up, and no couples could get eachother. Meaning April and Sunita couldn't get eachother, me and Donnie couldn't get eachother, and Leo and Usagi couldn't get eachother.

If we did draw the name of our significant other, we would redraw and put the paper back. If our partners name is the last one and we draw it, then we switch with someone while our partner leaves so they don't see who we switch with.

Casey had wondered aloud why we wouldn't just give the presents on Christmas, but April said that Christmas was for normal gifts and a snow day party, but new years was perfect for our version of secret Santa. plus it gives a few more days for gift finalizations.

We were all seated in the TV room of the lair, in a giant circle. April was holding a hat with a bunch of folded papers inside that held everyone's names.

Needless to say, April was the first to pull a name. She discreetly opened it to peek inside, then smiled and passed the hat to Sunita, who was sat next to her.

It went like this all around the circle. Sunita gave the hat to Donnie, Donnie gave it to Mikey, Mikey gave it to me, I gave it to raph, raph gave it to Casey, Casey gave it to leo, and Leo gave it to Usagi.

Surprisingly, it went smoothly, and no one had to draw twice. I'd say that it was better that way though. So much easier.

Once all names were drawn, we all set off to do our own thing so we could think of what to get for our people.
