Y/n's POV

A rythmic tapping on my window woke me up, and I turned over slowly opening my eyes to see Darkness.

I knew I was still in my room, but it was almost pitch black. Definitely not the morning.

I looked at the window spotting an all too familiar figure waving at me with a smile. This greeting from him subconsciously made me crack a small grin, and I opened the window for him.

"Good evening y/n, how are you feelin?" Donnie asked as he climbed in. His inquiry caused me to remember all about the day prior.

However, I was luckily too delusional to care. "Tired. What time is it?" I asked while stretching. He sat at the end of my bed. "Almost midnight." Despite my new knowledge of the current time, I became super awake and just stared at him.

"You hath awoken me from my slumber in the middle of the night? How dare you?" I dramatically interrogated, but he just chuckled. "I did what I had to. If you had simply woken up in the morning with the immediate responsibility of sending him back, then you would only end up feeling worse. So right now, I am here to give you some waking peace before the inevitable task at hand."

I stared at him for a good minute, just taking in his explanation. Once my mind fully got around it, a small portion of the feelings came creeping back into my system.

Wanting to try and avoid any overwhelming topics, I tilted my head at him. "and.. how do you suppose you'll give me 'waking peace'? There's not exactly very much to do in the middle of the night." He didn't even need any time to think. "it's quite simple dear y/n. We are going to head out and let you have real fun. Then we'll come back just in time for you to get extra sleep before tomorrow."

I could feel the familiar quickening pace of my heartbeat, and a smile tugged at my lips. "Well then, I guess I should probably get ready? Where exactly are you planning on taking me?" I inquired while getting up from my bed, walking over to get what I needed.

"We could do anything really, but there's likely going to be more stuff to do down in the hidden city." Donnie watched me put on a jacket, my shoes, and my watch, then I got my phone and tech bo and went back over to him.

I had thought that the hidden city would very likely not have anything I could get really upset about, so I was pleased with his planning skills. "Sounds like a plan. Now get out. I have to close the window behind us and I am not leaving before you." I pointed out of the still open window, and Donnie quickly complied.

He climbed out, then I followed, and we made our way to the hidden city. Once there, we simply walked around and got midnight snacks.

There weren't many people around, but pretty much everything was still open. We ventured throughout the city until we found ourselves in a familiar location.

The area had reminded me of when me and Mikey came down here, and that feeling came back. Looking around, I casually grabbed Donnie's hand as a form of comfort.

He glanced at our hands, but then quickly held mine right back. We continued to walk, and I continued to peek over my shoulder every so often, almost to the point of Donnie getting concerned, until we were stopped by something.

"Y/n?" Make that, someone.

I visibly flinched at the voice, even though I had only heard it once before. Me and Donnie looked to our side, seeing my mother about to enter a building.
