'Memphis... tomorrow already...' Carol thought, relieved they had a plan to escape together. 'Honshu is also really spectacular in a fight.' She smiled as she thought of Memphis. 'Starting tomorrow, we'll never part again.' But Carol didn't know what Algon was thinking.
"I heard that... tomorrow Your Highness will have a duel with Memphis," one of the Assyrian court members said to Algon, who was eating a chicken leg.
"We'll kill him," Algon said. He glanced at Carol and smirked. 'Hee hee hee, Carol, tonight, I will have you before Memphis.' He moved closer to her. "Hey, little one, it's already dark... not sleepy yet? Let me give you a tour of my palace! Ah! I have a gift for you... but you must come with me to my bedroom, and only then can I get it for you."
"May Your Highness be happy!" a court member said as Algon left the room with Carol. There was laughter and cheers.
"Be happy!"
"Hooray!"
"Hooray!"
"You are quite a match!"
"Hmm... They look so sly... Are they planning something?" Carol wondered.
"Come with me!" Algon said, guiding her through the corridor.
"Huh..." Carol said.
"You will surely like my gift..." Algon said.
"I won't accept it!" Carol said.
"Brother Algon!" Shar said, running up to them just as they reached the room Algon was taking Carol to. "I just heard the officials, they said..."
"Be quiet, Shar!" Algon said. "This is the Nile goddess. See this Golden hair and white skin."
"Ah..." Shar said, surprised.
"Shar," Carol said, surprised.
"You are the Nile goddess, well-versed in fortune telling... and famous for being benevolent?" Shar said, getting excited.
"King Algon has a brother?" Carol said. Shar kneeled before Carol and held her hand.
"It is an honor to meet you..." he said before standing back up and facing his brother. "Algon, you are not allowed to force this goddess to become your wife!"
"What... He plans to..." Carol said, shocked.
"Silence! Shar, you don't know anything!" Algon said.
"Ah!" Carol gasped. "That pervert! I know his plan! Ah!! Did you plan to trick me into your room to...?"
"At first... I thought to lure you there, but you already figured it out," Algon said, winking. "I want you to be my wife starting tonight!"
"Ah!!! Become your wife!?" Carol exclaimed, horrified, as Algon opened the door to the room and pushed her inside.
"I've already prepared a room for us," Algon said, grinning.
"You promised that my fate would be decided after the fight... You're a king. You must keep your word!" Carol said desperately.
"No more talking, you'll stay here with me tonight!" Algon said. "Stay still in there. I'll be back in half an hour!" He stepped outside and shut the door. Carol tried to open it but couldn't. She banged her hands on the door.
"Let me out! Let me out! You promised Memphis... I'll be your concubine only if you win against him..." Carol shouted anxiously. She turned away from the door and looked around the room. It had been specially decorated. "Oh, God! This is a wedding room? Then he has been planning this all along."
