Izmir received Ruka's message a few days later. "I knew Bonnie was still alive!" he said excitedly when he read the first sentence and saw that Bonnie had popped back up in Egypt, safe and unharmed. But he was puzzled by the explanation of how it had happened. "She had help from my reincarnation in the future? How can that be? Reincarnation is real? Hmm... She seems to trust me in the future but is still upset with the current me? I wonder what happened between 'Emir' and Bonnie..." 'I can't believe I'm getting jealous of myself...' he thought, holding a hand to his head. 'But whatever else he's done, my reincarnation sent her back to me, so I suppose I should be grateful...' Then he got to the part about how Isis had indeed murdered his sister. He clenched his fists, furious. "So, Bonnie was right! It really was Isis! All because my sister might've married Memphis! I'll never forgive her!" He fumed over his sister's death for a while before he calmed down. 'However... now that I know for sure that it was Isis, and Memphis had nothing to do with it... There may be an opportunity here...' Izmir stood up and left the room to find his parents.
The king and queen were sitting in the throne room when Izmir walked in and approached them with a serious expression on his face.
"Mother, Father... We finally know who killed my sister," he said, holding up the message from Ruka.
The queen gasped.
"What are you talking about? We've always known," the king said. "It was Memphis, wasn't it? She died in his palace."
"It was Queen Isis!" Izmir said. "Bonnie got her to confess."
"Bonnie did? She's alive!?" the queen asked. She had been mourning Bonnie and offering prayers for her, and she was overjoyed to learn that it had all been unnecessary. She knew Mira would be happy, too.
"Yes! She managed to return safely to Egypt, where she foiled Isis' plot to assassinate Carol," Izmir explained. "While she was at it, she accused Isis of murdering Mitamun, and Isis confessed! Ruka witnessed it himself. Memphis was shocked when he heard. This whole time, he really had no idea what had happened to Mitamun. He wasn't lying when he told us that."
"Okay, so he wasn't lying. So what?" the king said. "His sister still killed your sister!"
"But Isis did it without Memphis's knowledge or approval," Izmir said. "Memphis seemed horrified when he learned the truth. Isis has also tried to kill his wife Carol several times now, and she is helping Ragash wage war on his country. She has become an enemy of Egypt. The person who killed my sister and caused Hittite and Egypt to fight and break our peace is no longer associated with them. She is a Babylonian now. If we continue to punish Egypt for my sister's cruel fate, we are letting the true culprit escape. Her death will forever go unavenged!" he said passionately. He took a moment to calm himself. "But we've been given a chance to fix all of that. Right now, Isis' new country Babylonia is at war with Egypt. Lybia, despite the death of their princess, is merely guarding the west side of Egypt. That is the only aid they have given. The casualties and damage from their first battle with Ragash are much worse than the Egyptians had anticipated. Their own soldiers are turning on them. Egypt will need help. If we take this chance, we can become allies with them again, and we can punish and destroy Isis together!"
"You're willing to forgive them for everything?" the king asked. "We've only just lost Troy because of their interference! And they stole your wife on your wedding night! Aren't you humiliated?"
"Bonnie running away was my own fault and the result of our family's problems," Izmir said sternly. "I wouldn't have had to force her to marry me if I thought she would be safe from you."
The king was about to argue against that when he saw the hard expression on his wife's face that said she completely agreed with their son. He flinched. "But..."
