At the Lido's house, Carol was being examined by the doctor and his nurse.
"Good! Her arm is completely healed now so she can move her arm around as much as she wants now," the doctor said.
"But... will it leave a scar?" Carol asked.
"Don't worry! We used the most advanced technology so there won't be any scar!" the doctor said.
"Oh, I'm so glad! That means I'm back to the way I was before!" Carol said.
"That's right! It is pretty beyond my imagination! It turned out better than I thought!" the doctor said.
"That means I can play tennis this afternoon, right?" Carol asked, making a silly face.
"No! Not yet... This bratty girl!" the doctor said.
"Hey, we're here to visit you!" Jimmy and Carol's other friends said, coming in.
"Ah! You guys, come on in!" Carol said.
"Thank you, Doctor," Ryan said.
"No problem! It is a team effort!" the doctor said.
"Yes... You guys were very hardworking! At first I didn't think Carol would make it!" Ryan said.
"I did too since her injury was very poisonous!" the doctor said. "We almost could not save her!"
"And yet no one told me Carol's condition at first!" Mrs. Lido said.
"Maybe Ryan didn't want to worry you," the doctor said. "Carol was in a very bad condition... I thought we had to disconnect one of her joints! The first time we saw the injury we were very nervous because it was something we've never encountered before... The injury was very different. After that we thought of the theory that Carol was attacked by a lion and that made sense. Then we got the right way to treat the infected area and that was what made the operation very successful!"
"It is so strange... No one has ever heard of lions appearing in this area before," Ryan said.
"Yeah. With the way business and modernization are here there's no way any wild animals still live here!" Rody said.
"I will look into this later!" Ryan said. "The important thing is for Carol to get her memories back!"
"That's weird then... All the doctors say that there was no injury to the head!" Mrs. Lido said. "Or was there a big shock?"
"I'm planning to have Carol stay home more to rest," Ryan said.
"That's right!" the doctor said. "You should let her go back to America... I know some very good doctors there that will be able to help her recover her memories!"
"But Carol is very excited about coming back to study, so she might not want to go back to America," Ryan said. "I really doubt she would leave without Bonnie. I can't believe our searches for her are still turning up empty!"
"I'm so happy that I can go back to school!" Carol said. "Poor Bonnie is missing all her classes..."
"Ryan is right! Carol is missing Bonnie, and she is really happy that she can come back to school!" Rody said. "I'm afraid she won't listen to our plan at all..." Carol was laughing with her friends.
"Hmmph! If Carol stays in Egypt any longer she might go crazy!" Ryan said. "We have to take her back to America at all costs... If needed she will end her studies here!"
"But what about Bonnie?" Rody asked. "We haven't found her yet!"
"Of course, I intend to stay here until Bonnie is found," Ryan said. "I'll take Carol to America then come straight back here."
