When it began.

"Dragon-San! Who is that?!"

A young blond gasped, referring to the unconscious girl currently cradled in the arms of the hooded man.

"Sabo. Please take this girl to your quarters and let her rest. She has been through more than enough for one day."

"Hai!"

The boy chirped obediently, taking the girl gently in his arms as he walked toward his room.

He frowned as he reached his door, being met with problem of having no remaining hands to open the wooden barrier.

Sighing, he awkwardly raised his foot and pressed it down on the handle. Wobbling about in his attempt to stay balanced. Once the door opened, he quickly walked in, then closed the door again with his foot.

Gently setting her down, he kept his hand under her head until it collided softly with his pillow. When she was safe and cozy on the silk sheets, Sabo gently removed a few (h/c) strands from her face.

She looks like she's been through so much...

He thinks to himself, eyes wandering over the dark rings beneath her (e/c) orbs, then moving to the bloody scrapes and dried dirt on her cheeks. Her lips were dry and cracked, her breathing somewhat rugged.

I should probably clean those cuts...

Sabo decided, getting up from his bent position and moving swiftly to his bathroom, where he retrieved his medical kit from his cabinet, and moved back to her.

He set the box down beside her on the bed, quickly undoing the clasps, and popping the lid open. He dug around for bit, before finding antibacterial cream and alcohol wipes.

"Alright, this is gonna sting."

He whispered, in hopes of her some how hearing it and preparing herself.

He dabbed her cheeks with a wipe, staining it brown and red. She winced in her sleep, eyes begining to flutter. Sabo quickly stopped his actions as a pair of sparkling (e/c) eyes were revealed to him.

She groaned softly, resting a delicate palm on her forehead and began sitting up. Her blurry eyes settled on Sabo, who gazed back nervously. Swallowing thickly, she bit her lower lip and looked down.

"Umm... Could...Could you tell me where I am, please? And why I'm here?"

She whispered, slight fear in her voice as she tried to block out the stinging pain in her cheeks.

"Oh, of course! Dragon-San brought you here...though he wouldn't tell me why."

Her head shot up upon the mention of her saviour's name.

"Ne, Dragon-Sama? Where is he?"

She inquired hastily.

'Sama'?

Sabo parroted in his head. He shook the thought away and rubbed the back of his head, his top hat being hung on his bed post.

"He seemed in a rush, and left you with me. Told me to bring you here to rest. Gomen, it was my treating your wounds that woke you."

She shook her head and touched her cheek, wincing slightly.

"It's fine... Um...Arigatou."

The young girl mumbled, awkwardly making eye contact. Sabo couldn't help but blush and nod his head. A few tense moments of silence past, until he laid notice to the wipe still in his hand.

"Oh! Um, do you mind if I finish?"

He rushed out, jabbing a finger in her face, making her go slightly cross eyed. She flinched back, blushed, and nodded.

He mumbled an apology, before wiping away the dried dirt on her cheeks, and then moved on to cleaning her cuts. Her eyes squeezed shut.

"A-ah..."

She groaned, biting her lip. Sabo could feel heat rise to his cheeks upon hearing her pained groan. Deciding to distract himself, he asked,

"Can you tell me your name?"

"Ah, H-hai! I'm (Name)... Nice to meet you...."

"Sabo."

Smiling softly, she leaned over and gently kissed his cheek bone. Causing a raging inferno to spill over his cheeks and ears.

"Nice to meet you, Sabo."

~.~ 3 Years later ~.~

"ONEE-SAN!"

An excitable (Name) cried out. She watched with joy as her close friend Koala, mentor Hak, and 'brother' Sabo walked up the ramp leading onto the gallant ship they called home. Dragon chuckled as the exuberant girl practically vibrated with joy beside him.

"Calm yourself (Name)-San."

He stated, placing a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to anchor her to the floor. Grinning, she looked up at the father-like figure beside her and giggled.

"But they're home, Dragon-Sama! They're home and they're all ok!"

She chirped, eyes glistening with relief.

"I have told you many times, (Name)-San, Dragon-San is fine."

She ignored him, and instead ran up to Koala and tackled her to the floor. Both girls laughed happily, (Name)'s laughter being muffled by Koala's bosom. (Name) having her face lodged in there by the other female.

When she managed to pull away, she continued to laugh.

"(Name)-Chan! I've missed that adorable laugh of yours!"

Koala squealed.

"You're so lucky! With that devil fruit, you don't have to suffer the curse of having an ugly laugh! You can change it whenever you like!"

Koala whined in jealousy. The (h/c) giggled and stood to her feet, helping her friend up too.

She then turned to Hak, a small gasp leaving her mouth.

"Hak-San! Your Gi is crumpled!"

(Name) yelled. Rushing over and straightening out the creases in the fish-man's suit. Once that was done, she giggled and leaped up, scoring a quick kiss on his cheek.

Then, she turned to Sabo. He grinned at her, opening his arms, inviting her in for a hug. An invitation she gladly accepted. Her body slammed into his as she pulled him into a hug.

"Onee-san! I missed you!"

She squealed, burying her face into his chest. The older male laughed heartily and hugged her back equally as tight.

"As did I, little (Name)-Chan."

Her lips puckered into a pout as she looked up at him. Her large, (e/c) eyes making him feel a warmth inside he hasn't felt since he left for Dresrossa.

"Onneeee-saaannn~ I'm twenty-one! I'm not 'little'!"

He chuckled and pinched the bridge of her nose. As his eyes glanced down at her puckered lips, he felt the area she kissed for the first time, those three years ago, tingle.

"Hai, you are. And I'm twenty-three. Therefore you are younger, or more 'little' than i am."

She reciprocated his actions, and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"But that doesn't make me little! It just makes me little-r than you!"

Continuing to chuckle softly, a melodic sound that (Name) found herself becoming overly fond of as of late, he nodded his head. Knowing she would not less this slide until he did.

"Ok, ok. You're a big girl,better?"

She nodded rapidly.

"Hai! Welcome back, onee-san!"
