Steve and Robin had began their shift after their slightly awkward car ride. It was as per usual another slow ass day in Family Video, not many customers during the weekdays. Steve and Robin had closed the store for the night and began cleaning up, which now gave Robin her chance to talk to Steve without anyone present. Robin was restocking the candy as she popped her head up. "You know Steve, you should really go back and talk to him after we leave tonight." Steve's ears perked up as he poked his head in her direction. "And why's that? Won't a phone call be good enough for tonight?" Robin shook her head, how was the 'King of Hawkins High' this dumb? "With all due respect, you left the morning after, Steve. You might wanna make sure he knows he's not just a quick booty call Dingus." She rolled her eyes, and suddenly Steve had realized that he'd made a mistake. "Aw, shit, Rob. You're right, I totally just ran out on him." Steve's mind began to race as he wondered what Eddie could be thinking right now. Was he mad? Did he think Steve didn't care? Or that he didn't like it? Maybe he thought he was ashamed as had to flee? No matter what it was, all the options were bad. Robin noticed Steve's worried expression, she stood up and walked over to him. "Hey, it's gonna be alright. You can go see him right now, I can have Nancy pick me up." She smiled and Steve let out a sight of relief. "Right, okay, well I'm gonna need you to call Nance and make sure she can get you first." Steve smiled pushing the phone toward her. She smiled and picked it up and put it to her ear, she then spun the dial to the Wheeler's house. It rang for a second before a familiar voice picked up, it wasn't Nancy though. "Hello?" It was Mike. "Mike! Hey, it's Robin, is your sister there?" There was a pause followed by a yell, then he returned. "Yeah, she's coming." Robin smiled as she heard the exchanging of the phone. "Hey Robin! What's up?" Robin bit her lip slightly before speaking, "Hey Nance, I was wondering if you could pick me up from work tonight? I know it's last minute but Steve has something that he has to do." Robin looked at Steve and smiled, and despite it just being them it the store, she swore he was embarrassed. "Yeah, that's fine! Do you want me to come now?" Robin smiled to herself again. "Sure, that'd be great." There was a slight pause. "Cool, I'll see you there!" Then she hung up the phone and Robin swore her heart was beating a mile a minute. "Alright, she's on her way so you can get out of here." She smiled and Steve returned it. "Thanks Rob, I owe you!" Steve yelled as he grabbed his keys and ran out the door. Dingus.
