I lay in bed hoping I would be able to have a lie in. Unfortunately, my dreams were crushed when a massive crash came from the kitchen. I knew I had to see what has caused the noise, but my bed was just so warm. Eventually I managed to pry myself from the comfort of my sheets
I went to the kitchen and saw lyra on jonnys hip as he did his best to stir something in a bowl
"Er...honey, what's going on?" I asked chuckling
"Mama" lyra babbled so I went over and picked her up
"We are baking cakes. Turns out, i don't know how to bake cakes" jonny said giving me a childish apologetic grin
"Aw sweetie. Do you need some help?" I said in a baby voice teasing him
"Oh shut up" I grumbled as I laughed at him and the mess. He was covered in flour and cake mixture and hardly any was actually in the bowl
"So you gonna tell me what that crash was?" I asked raising an eyebrow
"Crash? What crash? There was no crash. Think you're hearing things" he said all to quickly for me to believe him
"Jonny!" I said warningly. I walked round the island worktop and to where jonny was standing. There was a massive pile of cake mixture, flour and a few cracked eggs on the floor
"Oh dear god! What? How? Huh?"
"I dropped the bowl and then knocked the eggs over and the scales fell aswell" he explained
"OK. Well clean it up. I'm gonna take a shower with lyra" I said
"Aww. Why can't you take a shower with me instead" he said with his lip poking out
"And if we do 'that' then what do you suggest we do with lyra?" I said raising an eyebrow. But he had nothing to say to that
"Gimme a kiss" I said. He leaned over and gave me a kiss and then wiped some flour on my face. That was just great. I then walked off to go and have a shower. As I was getting undressed, I sat lyra on the bed
"Daddys silly isn't he" i said tickling her stomach as she laughed
"Come on baby girl. Let's get you cleaned up" and then giving her a big kiss, we went in the shower and got all the flour and mixture off her
