Lyra was amazing. She slept through the whole night and only woke us up at 7am. It was brilliant.

We heard that babies would make you tired and not let you sleep. We must have got a gooden.

When she cried, I got up to go and get her and Brought her back to the bed after making her bottle. Jonny woke up but I told him to go back asleep which he gladly obliged to.

And I just sat. Holding my baby in my arms as she sucked on her bottle. She was so tiny and innocent that it made my heart swell.

"Morning gorgeous. You are so pretty. We waited so long for you to join is and now your finally here. Thank you" I whispered to her so I didn't wake jonny up.

She fell back asleep on my breast so I just carefully lay down and kept her there as I slept for a few more hours.

When we woke up, it was half past 9. Lyra had cried again but jonny took her from my chest and rocked her softly around the room as he whispered to her.

It was the most loving sight to see and I couldn't be more grateful for my family. I loved them all. I got a message so looked at my phone.

"Your mum text. She said that horrible grandma and grandma and val want to see lyra so they will be over next week. Something to look forward to" I said

"Yay" jonny said sarcastically. I laughed as he told lyra all about how great grandma is a bit clueless. But horrible grandma is a mean old bitch. And aunty val cries all the time. He started talking about immediately family then

"Uncle pussface might tell you his name is adam. But don't believe him. And grandad doesn't wear a shirt so you will forever have that imagine tattooed in your brain. Grandma will spoil you rotten and always ask for seconds of crimble crumble. She loves you more than she loves any of us" he whispered to her as if she could understand

"Can't believe we have to see horrible grandma. She will just complain that we aren't married" he said. Me and jonny had talked about marriage. And we both agreed we wanted to wait until lyra was a few years old ao she can be apart of the wedding.

"Let her complain then. We have the most amazing, beautiful, lucky daughter in the world. Nothing can take that happiness away. Not even horrible grandma" I said as he sat on the edge of the bed so I could give lyra a kiss and him a kiss.

"She really is an angel" and just as he said that, we smelt something.

"You remember the deal. We had a girl which means next 2 months is all your problem" he rolled his eyes but went to deal with the problem. If I hadn't just given birth, I might feel sorry for him. But I pushed something the size of a watermelon out a hole the size of a penny so my sympathy levels are none existent.
