I took a step back, with David's back against mine. I hardened my grip on the stick, ready to attack. The screeching and moaning sounds grew louder as the Evils came nearer, which made the air grow more tense by the second. I glanced at Misty, her eyes shut tight, and her mummers were cracking.
I saw one of the creatures about 12 inches away, from the corner of my eye, I turned around and whipped my stick, stabbed it in its chest and watched it moan then disintegrate. I turned back to my original position to watch the endless stream of Evils surrounding us. I could hear David's stick whipping and killing dozens of those hideous creatures. And then I.. Got blacked out?!
I blinked once, twice.. Am I dead? I looked over to the beautiful view of the almost crystal-clear water, as I was standing on the soft white sand. And then, before I thought I was really dead, I heard David's voice. "Lox, over here!" He shouted to me, wavering his hands in the air. Beside David was Misty, as I walked over to them I admired the surroundings some more.
It was about sunrise, and the scent of a beach welcomed us. Birds flew over our heads, greeting us. A warm breeze blew through my hair making it flow naturally with the wind. The clear sky with the stunning array of colours was a breath-taking view! "Oh! I almost forgot to give you this!" Misty said as she took our a pendent out of a pouch that was hung around her shoulder. She handed me the pendent, it was a beautiful necklace that had a green and silver pair of wings.
"Uhm, thanks?" I said unsure of what to do with it, "your supposed to kinda wish on it, if you want to have wings, simply wish so, if you want them to disappear, then wish it in a whisper." She told me. "I wish my wings will vanish." I whispered, then I felt a little tingling sensation on my back, I turned around to take a look at my normal wing-free back. "Woah!" I exclaimed. Then I wished for my wings to return, and as expected, they did. "This is awesome!" I chirped, I heard David chuckle behind me, I turned to see him immediately shut his mouth when I looked at him.
"What?!" He said in an innocent voice, "why were you laughing?!" I asked giving him a glare. "Well.. It's just that you looked so.. Funny when you started playing with your pendent, I couldn't help it!" He said and chuckled a bit more, I couldn't help as I chuckled along with him. "Okay people, it's time to move along." Misty said with an annoyed tone, "cmon! Cheer up girl!" I squeaked and saw her chuckle too.
We started to walk down the shore and found a small cave entrance behind a huge rock. It was quite dark too. I heard dripping noises from a distance, but I didn't really pay too much attention. Misty made her usual ball of glowing light using her fingertips and led the way, I saw stalagmites hanging from the ceiling of the cave as we entered its mouth. We walked through it for what felt like 20 minutes.
After a while I began to see NATURAL light again! It was kind of a blur, because my eyes didn't adjust, since we just suddenly turned to another opening, the light literally exploded into our eyes. We walked nearer and then I realised something..
I had gasped at the view. Vines covered the entrance to a heavenly caldera! The water was so clear, that you could see right through it! And right about the caldera, were hundred of floating lands that were filled with vegetation, and thus the heart had the most beauty, it was an island floating on the almost glowing patch of water which had a greenish tint, the island had flowers crowned against each bush and every vine that hanged down from the vast beautiful vegetation.
And I found out why I was hearing dripping sounds, the islands that were afloat in the air, has a waterfall, which gracefully spilled down to the water beneath. I was enjoying the beauty, but something moving was caught in the corner of my eye..
