Chapter 16- A Little Something Else

"Ermm.. Could you guys like, give Lox and I an hour or two?" David asked staring into my eyes, "uhm why?" Misty asked almost immediately, stepping forward. Then David whispered something into Misty's ear, she backed off with a slight giggle and a goofy smile. "Okay you two, enjoy." She said happily, as Misty pulled everyone with her to.. Somewhere. Only David and I were left behind.

"So.. Lox, I need you to come with me." He said as he grabbed my hand and started dragging me. "Wait! Where are we going?!" I managed to ask, "you'll see." Was the only answer he gave me.

I started to follow David through the crystal clear waters. I love how the refreshing water went with sync against my body, every splash against my body was something new, something that's going to feel good no matter how much of it I get used to. We swam for what felt about 5 minutes and David then let go of my hand. My hand kinda felt cold without his.. What am I thinking!? "We're here." He said. I was about to turn to face him when two hands were cupped against my eyes, sending shivers through me.

"Trust me." David whispered behind me, he tugged me to somewhere. I couldn't help but smile at his little act. "Ready?" he asked, "Yep, sure am." I replied. He let go of my eyes, I only saw blur for a minute of two, but then I realised what I was standing before of.. It was an underwater trench! Like.. Like a cliff! But it was drop-dead STUNNING!! The corals seemed to shimmer with sunlight that was filtered by the waters, there were seaweeds that added a touch of magic, and the fishes, they looked like specks of colours from the distance.

"Wow." Was the only word that managed to escape my lips, I turned to David and saw him giggle as looked back at me. He leaned against a huge mossy rock, and gestured me to sit with him. I swam towards him, adjusting my direction so I could sit opposite of him. Once I sat in front of him, I saw a pile of what looked like berries, sea berries maybe. He handed me a couple of them, while a smirk was painted on his face. He's gonna do something, isn't he.

I took the berries and started to gobbled them down, one by one.. What? I was hungry! The berries were juicy and sweet, they tasted like mixed berry juice! I looked down to see only one berry left, I reached out my hand for it but David quickly grabbed it. A frown was spread in my face, I looked up to his face and saw that he hadn't eaten it, he had put it between his teeth, and a toothy grin that made me wanna punch his face still curved upwards. I made a face at him and turned my head away.

Ugh! Why does he have to be so annoying?! I felt two hands grab me by the shoulders, I turned and saw his grin with the berry between his teeth again, "what do you want?!" I asked with anger that laced my voice, he replied by leaning his head closer to mine.

Oh.. I knew what he wanted.. My lips parted and for some reason, a part of me wanted to smack him on the face, but another part of me wanted to lean in and... ARGH! What am I doing?? I felt myself leaning closer to him, his face only inches from mine.. Each second we came nearer and nearer, until..

"Aww! How cute!" A very familiar voice echoed through the water, I pushed David away turned away from him. "Lizzy?!" We both squeaked in unison, "hahaha, you two know me too well." She answered back. "B-but what are you doing here?" I managed to sputter, "oh you know, just making sure everything's fine." She said coming into view, she was playing her with nails.

David had his face turned red, and anger probably because she broke our moment. Wait.. OUR moment?! yeah, can't get any more epic than that. (Note sarcasm)
