Chapter 21- Lost

The darkness of the area had purple swirls hypnotically pulling me towards them. I found myself scream as the pain erupt my left shoulder, like no such pain I've ever felt before.. Then the scream stopped..

I opened one eye, then the other to stare up at the hole I've fallen through. "Loxy?" David's voice came into hearing. I turned to face him but I couldn't see a thing because David squished me up in the tightest hug he'd ever given me. "Omg Lox, I thought I lost you!" He squeaked, when he was done with the embrace, he ended up kissing me all over my face, my nose, cheeks, forehead, temple and all in a continuous swift speed. "Woah, woah.. Calm down!!" I squealed with joy.

"UGHH! lox! I love you, I love you, I LOVE YOU!!" He shrieked, and then stopped when he realised what he was saying. "Oh, uhmm.. Hahahha, sorry I couldn't control myself.." He said hiding his face with his palms. My heart began to pound faster, he loves me! Awwwwww.. I couldn't help but blush. I ended up hugging him while chuckling.

After a while of hugging, I felt something wet on my shoulder where David rested his head, I turned my head to see his tearful eyes and my soaked shoulder. "David? Are you okay?" I asked beginning to panic, what if he's hurt?!

"Oh, I," he started, wiping some of his tears, "I really thought I lost you, I mean, you stopped breathing and my heart began to ache.." He continued. "Aw David, I'm fine, I'm right here. I just kinda fell on my left shoulder." I replied, I saw him stiffen, "can you move your shoulder?" He asked concern lacing his voice. I tried to shrug my left shoulder but ended up flinching as the pain creeped into my shoulder, "ouch."

"Oh no.. We need to get back to Misty and Gia, maybe they can help." He said gripping my hand and pulling me gently up to my feet. We both started walking towards a dark entrance. "I can't see a thing!" I whined like a 2-year-old, "wait, lemme try to-" David started to create sparks between his hands. "Come on-come on!" David continued to make more sparks, bigger ones this times, his brows furrowed and his lips pouted. Cuteness overload! Hehehe

"Yes!" He shouted, his shout echoing around the cave's tunnels, he had created one of those glowing ball thingies. He handed me one, then created another one for himself. "Wow, I'm impressed, real impressed." I said, nodding. David smiled and started to walk through the-now lit tunnel. We did a couple of turns left and a couple, right, but the tunnel seemed to go on endlessly. "David, I'm tired." I groaned, "can we please just rest for a moment or two?" I asked trying not to sound too whiney.

"Okay, rest all you want. But just keep your eyes peeled for Misty and Gia." He replied. Then he helped me sit down on a rock and then sat beside me, I heard him sigh and then he slung his arm around my shoulders. "Lox, look about earlier.. You know the 'I love you'.. Well," he stopped and looked into my eyes, " I really do love you. Maybe more then a friend.." He continued and stared at particularly nothing. My heart felt warm with his words. How can one person be so sweet?!

"Well, someones being sweet!" I teased, nudging him on the side. "I wouldn't be sweet without sugar Ya know." He said, this time smiling, not his usual smirk. "I'm sugar?" I replied, acting like a dramatic scene, pressing my palm against my chest. "Yes darling! Your my sugar, and I'll put you in my tea!" He said in a posh accent. We both ended up cracking up and laughing, creating random weird jokes and just chit-chatting in general.

We chatted so much, I nearly forgot we were stuck in a cave, lost. Once I remembered, I felt my breathing hitch. "We are going to be fine lox, trust me." David said, squeezing my hand to reassure me. I really wanted to go back in time. I regret wanting to step on that black rock, which turned out to be a hole.

If only that hole was big enough, I could have tried and flied back up. But it was too small, well it's actually a normal size, it's my wings that are big.

I was lost in ideas on how to get back to Mist and Gia, when a voice called my name..
