The next morning, Emma woke up energized and ready for her first day. After a steamy shower she picked out a pair of black jeans and a blue T-shirt along with black boots.
Getting her phone and school bag, she put the final touches onto her hair leaving the room to meet up with Natasha who was cooking up some breakfast in the kitchen.
"We really cook for ourselves?" Emma asked sitting down on a chair in the kitchen.
"I thought that it was just like- You know put there maybe just for decoration? To take up space. Make the room look bigger."
"What decoration? No. Of course we cook silly." Natasha chuckled while laying the last strips of bacon onto the pan.
"Breakfast's almost ready now. You've got everything you need right?"
"Of course I do. My bag, stationaries, phone, keycard-" She listed going through her bag.
"Laptop-"
"Laptop,- wait what?" Emma paused finally listening to herself.
"You do have your laptop with you, right?" Natasha asked placing the cooked bacon onto their plates trying to arrive at a visually pleasing breakfast.
"Why?" Emma paused dropping her bag on another chair, "do I need it for classes or something?"
"For something alright. I mean that's how we get our notes, assignments and everything else done. Hurry up and go get it. Haven't you switched it on yet? There's supposed to be an introductory video if I remember correctly. Which I do." She shooed Emma away.
"When you're done, come have your breakfast."
"K." Emma got up and headed straight for her room where she opened the laptop and the school's logo immediately popped up.
The message was quite precise. It really explained everything she needed to know. The school was divided into four sections based on the years.
There were the North. South. East and West. The Eastern part was for freshers. The Western, for Sophomore year. The Southern part for Junior year and the Northern part was for Senior year. This way everyone could easily access all they needed as all the required facilities were replicated in each section.
All classes were held in a single multiple storey building, almost tall enough to be considered a skyscraper but maybe it was just her eyes.
Each class had their own floor. Practical classes included. The video displayed all the sporting facilities, relaxation centers and also the eateries in the school.
It was made so well that you almost wouldn't need to leave to get anything. She was also given instructions regarding her classes and the schooling system.
After watching the video, she closed the laptop and left her room holding it closely in her hand. Getting to the table, she smoothly slid it into her bag which although small, was just perfect for it.
"All done." She announced as Natasha put a plate of French toast with fried eggs sandwich between them accompanied by a cup of orange juice before her.
Switching off the hot plate, she sat down opposite Emma and began to eat.
"I really love your British accent. It's very unique and lovely to listen to."
"Really?" Natasha smiled taking a sip from her glass.
"You know, when I was little, my dad always took me out on what seemed like whenever he left the house. Actually now I think about it, I guess I really just wanted to tag along-" She added laughing.
