 Louis’s POV

“Were you serious?” I ask as Eleanor and I walk upstairs.

“Serious about what?” El asks when we go into my room.

“SEX!” I exclaim jumping on my bed.

“Well no! It was a joke, don’t get too excited.” El laughs sitting in the beanbag chair on the floor. I stick my tongue out at her and turn on the television.

“You’re going to watch television now?” She asks jumping on the bed with me.

“Well of course.” I wink turning it off.

“So what do you think about Dani and Liam?” El asks leaning on me.

“I think that it is fantastic; I always thought they would get married. The baby threw me for a loop though.” I admit after a moment.

“I didn’t know they were that serious. I mean don’t get me wrong; I am incredibly happy for them, but what if they only got engaged BECAUSE of the baby?” El says looking really concerned.

“You think that would happen? Liam had a ring for her and everything though.” I say thinking over what she is saying.

“What if Danielle told him about the baby and he felt pressured? Liam wouldn’t want Dani or the baby to be ridiculed or judged rather. I just don’t want them to rush. Liam would have had time to go out and buy a ring; I just hoped he thought this through really well.” She says with a small frown.

“You’re right about Liam, but I know that he was actually thinking about it before anyway. I didn’t know it was this soon, but I hope it wasn’t just because of the baby.” I say trailing off.

“You’re right; I am sure they know what they’re doing. If not, then I am sure they will figure it out.” Eleanor says trying to put a smile on. Even though she is trying to change the subject I can’t get it out of my mind and feel like I need to talk to Liam.

“Hey I will be right back, Darling.” I say excusing myself from my bedroom. I walk over to Liam’s room and tap lightly.

“Yeah?” Liam calls.

“Hey, mate, it’s Louis. Can I talk to you for a second?” I say through the door. Liam unlocks the door and lets me in.

“I meant alone.” I say when I see Danielle sitting on his bed. Dani nods looking uncomfortable and walks out.

“What’s up, bro?” Liam asks turning towards me.

“I am sure that I am wrong, but I just wanted to talk to you about this whole marriage and baby thing.” I say awkwardly.

“What about it?” Liam asks narrowing his eyes.

“You and Danielle aren’t just tying the knot because of the baby right?” I ask trying to tread lightly on the subject.

“Of course not; I proposed yesterday morning. She told me about the baby that night. We were engaged before the baby was even mentioned.” He says sounding insulted that I would even ask.

“Okay, I thought that, but I was afraid maybe Danielle told you about the baby and you felt obligated to marry her.” I say realizing how bad that sounded.

“First of all, nothing with Dani is an obligation. Second of all, it isn’t any of your business Louis.” He says looking at me angrily.

“I am so sorry, I just wanted to make sure dude. You’re one of my best friends after all.” I apologize.

“No, it’s okay. I am sorry I snapped at you.” Liam says rubbing his hand over his hair. We do that weird guy hug that everyone always does and I pat his head.
