Katie's POV

“Katie, come on! Wait up JESUS!!” Emilea shouts pulling me to a stop. We sit down on the stairs and I lean on her.

“He didn’t know.” She says hugging me.

“I know; it’s no big deal.” I say wiping my eyes. Emilea, as the greatest friend just lets me pull myself together and rubs my back soothingly.

“Come on, let’s go back inside.” She says after a while. I nod and we go back to the flat and knock on the door. Niall opens the door and sticks his head out.

“Harry feels absolutely awful. He is upstairs in his room right now.” He says letting us in. I head upstairs to Harry’s room and see him lying on his bed looking confused.

“Knock Knock.” I say standing by the door. Harry jumps up and runs over to me.

“I am so sorry Katie!” Harry says looking horribly sorry.

“You didn’t do anything.” I say walking into his room and sitting on the bed.

“I didn’t?” He asks looking even more confused.

“No, I overreacted.” I say offering him a small smile.

“I never thought I would hear a girl say that.” He jokes. I laugh with him and lay down. Harry lies down next to me and I scoot over so I can lay my head on his chest.

“Are you sure I didn’t do anything?” Harry asks after a few moments of silence.

“Yes, you didn’t do anything. It’s just that my brother Austin taught me how to play Golden Eye. I just miss him ya know?” I say realizing he couldn’t possibly know.

“Did he go off to college? My older sister Gemma is off at school.” He says looking slightly happier.

“Uh, no. Not quite.” I say taking a deep breath.

“Really? He doesn’t live at your house though.” Harry says still not catching on.

“Harry, my brother died in a car crash about 6 months ago.” I say holding back tears.

“Oh, God. Katie I am so sorry! I really didn’t know.” He says sitting up and squeezing me close.

“Harry, you couldn’t possibly have known. It is really okay. I better get going though. I need to get ready for school tomorrow.” I say kissing him and walking out of his room. He catches up with me and entwines our fingers.

“Let me drive you.” He says thoughtfully. I nod and we walk out to my car. By the time we get to my house we have forgotten about the Austin ordeal.

“Can I walk you in?” He asks like the perfect gentleman. I grin at him and we go into my house.

“Where were you last night young lady?” My Mum asks when I walk in.

“Nowhere.” I say innocently giving her a hug.

“Hello, I don’t think we have been properly introduced.” My mother says looking at Harry.

“No I would say not. My name is Harry.” He says sticking out his hand to shake. My mum ignores it and pulls him in to a hug.

“I’m Elaine.” She says with a smile.

“Are you and Katie dating?” My mum asks him. Harry smiles and nods.

“Yes ma’am we are.” He says proudly.

“We are going upstairs.” I say heading for the stairs.

“Keep the door open.” My mum says without batting an eye. I roll my eyes and we go upstairs. When we set down on my bed and Harry laughs.
