Katie’s POV
I glance between everyone in the room and no one answers my question. I frown and once again fear grips my heart.
“Is he…?” I cannot even finish the atrocious thought and thankfully Louis jumps in.
“No, he isn’t. He’s just…not doing too well.” He admits, holding my hand and pulling me into a hug. I let out a small gasp and I start to shake.
“Why? What? Why isn’t he okay?” I begin breathing in and out quickly and before I know it I am full scale hyperventilating and sobbing. Everyone respectfully clears out of the room, except for Louis and Emilea and they sit trying to calm me down. Louis rubs my back in small circles and Emilea gets me a glass of water. After several minutes my tears dissolve into hiccups.
“Katie, he took the brunt of the accident. You got screwed a bit, but he really got hit worse.” Louis murmurs gently. He kisses my forehead again and I take in a deep shaky breath.
“What’s wrong with him?” I question, gripping Lou’s hand. He gives me a soft smile.
“He’s really just got a lot of head troubles. A bad concussion and a lot of scrapes and bruises, he also broke his arm. Not quite as badly as your break though and they expect quick healing for it.” Emilea explains. I look around and see the dark sheet around the bed next to me.
“Is that…Harry?” I ask, nodding my head in that direction. Emilea nods and Louis holds me down when I go to get up and pull back the sheet. He shakes his head slowly at me and I lay back feeling reprimanded.
“They’re taking him out of the medically induced coma tomorrow morning. You can see him that, Katie.” Lou declares and I feel a little bit of hope.
“Will you stay and watch a movie with me tonight? I don’t want to be alone.” I whisper, feeling like a small child as I ask. They both give me responding grins and Lou jumps up and runs out. Em shrugs at me in response and she snuggles up next to me. Not ten minutes later, Louis and all of my friends are back with pillows, snacks, and blankets, not to mention probably 10 movies.
“Okay, lovely girl, what do you want to watch?” Liam asks, holding out a few popular movies. I point at City of Bones and they all grin. Snacks are distributed to everyone and when my nurse comes in she doesn’t say anything but I see her purse her lips to hide a smile. I cuddle between Emilea and Louis, all sandwiched in. Eleanor is lying in between Louis’s legs with her head against his chest. I feel a swell of happiness and I just wish that Harry had been here watching with me. I close my eyes and let the thrill of excitement lull me to sleep.

When I pry my eyes open I see that everyone is still sprawled everywhere. I grin and slowly ease myself into a sitting position. My throat feels scratchy and dry and I don’t want to disturb anyone, so I reach across and buzz the nurses’ call button. It takes several minutes but she walks in and I motion for water. This time she gives me a look of reproach and leaves the room. By the time she comes back with my water and pills I practically chug the water and pop the pills in last minute.
“Excuse me, ma’am, can you tell me when they’re waking up Harry Styles?” I ask, with hope apparent in my voice.
“Yes, we plan on waking him up in about 2 hours.” She says, after consulting the clipboard on the wall. I smile with happiness and she mentions that she’ll be bringing my breakfast in after she’s finished with her rounds. I nod my consent and snuggle back into my much needed slumber.
