Chapter 14

Hi guys, hope you enjoyed the last chapter. I will try to make this one longer. Also just a quick Heads up because there will be smut in this chapter, maybe sex? I don't know... anyways I hope you enjoy.

Hugo's POV:

Why the fuck did I say it meant nothing?!?! All I want more than anything is to be with him... shit. He stayed quiet for a while.

*TIME SKIP*

It's been like 3-5 hours and we haven't said a single word to each other. I think I really upset him... maybe he feels the same way. It was getting close to sunset and we were both REALLY hungry. Well at least I was. The only problem is that we had run out of food. Maybe we should stop and try to find some food before it gets dark.

"Hey, Goggle's?"

Varian: (bit louder than normal) What?

"I think we should stop and try to find some food before it gets dark... or else you know, we could die of starvation."

I turned my head so I was facing him. He still looked a bit upset.

Varian: I guess we should.

I stopped the wagon and he hopped out, looking for something to eat.

Varian: I think I can hear a river nearby, this way.

He pointed in the direction where the sound of water was coming from and started to almost run towards it. I pulled the mule and wagon to a small clearing and tied him up so he couldn't leave, then I chased after Varian.

"HEY VARIAN!? WHERE DID YOU GO?"

I stopped running through the forest when I heard Varian talking to himself by the river. I couldn't really hear what he was saying but he almost sounded like as if he was crying or something. I slowly approached him, the closer I got, the clearer his voice became. I saw his eyes, he was definitely crying. When I was about to walk straight up to him he started talking softly to himself.

Varian: I knew he didn't like me back... way to get your hopes up Varian. He doesn't love me... I'm just his little sex toy... and even though I know he'll never feel the same way... I still want this to continue just so I can get a bit of pleasure out of it.

Jeez why didn't I just tell him how I feel about him... I love him to death. I wait a few minutes before walking up next to him. He turned his head around to look at me. (Varian's thoughts) How much of that did he hear? I-I can't let him see me like this.

"Varian, are you okay?"

Varian: Yeah I'm fine don't worry.

I saw him quickly wipe his face to get rid of the tears before he looked at me. Guilt started piercing through me. I sat down next to him, looking down at the river in front of us. I turned my head to him.

"Wanna try and catch some fish?"

He looked up at me, making eye contact with me.

Varian: Yeah, I suppose we should at least try.

~TIME SKIP~

After about an hour, we got 3 fish which wasn't that much but it was enough. Varian definitely cheered up, which was a good thing. I even heard him giggling to himself a few times. Multiple times he pushed me into the river, which was fine since let's be honest, we both needed a bath anyway. Plus, the river was actually quite calm. It was decently shallow is certain parts too. We were simply standing up in it and the water was only up to our knees. I had to admit, it was pretty fun.

Varian: We should probably head back... 3 fish should be enough.

"Yeah, it was handy they swam in between our legs the whole time... all we had to do was reach down quick enough to grab them."
