"okay," chris huffed as he laid on his back in the middle of the turf field, brielle sitting next to him. "why did you not go D1?"

"i didn't want to keep playing soccer. i wanted to start something new," brielle replied as she giggled at the out-of-breath state of chris.

"you totally would've won some awards or some shit," chris turned his head to look at brielle with a grin. "you're literally insane."

"i'm alright," brielle answered with a shrug. the two fell into a comfortable silence as they stared at the night sky.

"do you remember the last time we were here?" chris questioned as he glanced over at brielle. 

"i do," a slightly smile appeared on brielle's face as she thought of the winter. "i liked you then."
