"chris," matt sighed loudly as he walked farther into the kitchen with nick following. chris was sitting at the kitchen island watching tiktok while eating party mix. he looked a mess. "why is brielle texting us asking if you're okay?"
"don't know." chris replied simply as he wrapped his blanket around his shoulders. nick and matt shared a look and decided to sit on either side of him.
"she told us you haven't texted her since yesterday," nick raised his eyebrows at his brother. "i thought you were supposed to go see her?"
chris shrugged as he ate a pretzel from his party mix. "she seemed busy so i didn't."
matt and nick both knitted their eyebrows in confusion. his tone was way too harsh for him to be talking about brielle. he was so excited to fly over a day early and now he was off. nick was the one to break the silence. "what are you talking about?"
chris began to grip his phone tightly. "she was with a.. friend." chris didn't want to talk about what he saw because then it would mean he was admitting to being cheated on.
