POLICE!

<•—•> Samantha laughs as she runs through the woods, three police officers chasing behind her. They yell for her to stop running, but the words make her run faster. The wind hits her face hard and she takes a small turn to try to outrun the officers, but they seem to know her tactics and come closer than before.

"You guys need to pick up the pace!" Samantha yells, hoping they would hear. Over the summer she was a top priority for the police as that was when she strikes hardest. She never had an agenda, always doing something stupid whenever she was bored.

"You better stop running!" Powell had yelled as he was in front of the other two officers.

"Never!" She yelled back. She took another shortcut knowing she was close to her house and if she made it in they couldn't get her. Her breaths were short and she tried her hardest to run faster and faster. It seemed to work. She heard Powell yell at the two officers to hurry up. She smiled, finally making it to her house. She jumped and grabbed the railing to her room, pulling herself up and opening the balcony sliding door, and shutting it in Powell's face. She locked it before he could push, and the two shared a look.

"Better luck next time!" She smiled as Powell groaned.

"Oh, did I forget to tell you the Chief decided to have a little visit?" Powell grinned brightly, finally able to catch the girl. Samantha's eyes widened but she couldn't escape as Jim Hopper came out of hiding and cuffed the girl.

"Gotcha." Hopper took her to his car and told the others Samantha would be taken care of. As she was pushed into Hopper's car she maneuvered her hands out of the cuffs and put them in the front seat. He came around and shook his head at the girl before getting into the driver's seat and starting the car.

"So, Sam." Hopper started and Samantha groaned before climbing into the front seat as Hopper began to drive.

"Where are you taking me?" She questioned as she put her feet up on the dash.

"To the Wheeler's. Heard your friend were there." Hopper pushed the girl's feet off the dash and motioned for her to put her seatbelt on. She obliged and pulled the seatbelt over her body.

"Yeah. They were having their Dungeons and Dragons campaign. It's been more than ten hours." She groaned. "I decided to have a little fun with Powell." She grinned as she remembered his triumphant face. "He thinks he finally got me."

"Yeah. You're lucky I never take you in." Hopper held his smile as Sam mock saluted him.

"We're here. Now stay outta trouble kid or I'm gonna have to start calling your brother. Or worse, your parents." Hopper threatened.

"Hey! Don't bring my parents into this. They would kill me." Samantha unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the door. "Thanks, Jimmy Jim." She grinned as he groaned.

"Don't call me that."

"Fine, Hoppy Hop."

"That's practically the same as Jimmy Jim."

"But it's not and you only told me not to call you Jimmy Jim."

"Don't-" Before he could finish his sentence Samantha slammed the car door shut and ran away.

"Hey! Hopper rolled down his window.

"Bye, Hoppy Hop!" She grinned and waved at him as she closed the door to the Wheeler's house.
