"BAD MEN"

<•—•> Samantha's energy was completely drained. She felt like a million bricks were sitting on her stomach, weighing her down and making it a little hard to breathe. When the four got home, Mike helped El clean her face of makeup and Dustin helped Samantha get to the basement. The girl immediately flopped onto the couch and although she wanted to sleep, she couldn't. Her body and her mind were fighting each other and it seemed her mind won as her eyes stayed wide open.

"Sam?" Eleven called as she came downstairs.

"Hey, El." Samantha turned from laying on her stomach and gave some space for El to sit.

"Am I... still pretty," Eleven asked.

"Now, you're even prettier," Samantha reassured, grabbing the girl's hands.

"Really pretty?" Eleven asked.

"Really pretty." Samantha agreed with what she hoped was a grin. Eleven pulled the girl lightly and she wrapped her arms around her. Sam lay her head on El's shoulder and rubbed her back; making Eleven a little tired.

"Guys!" Dustin yells suddenly. The two pull apart, looking at Dustin with wide eyes. "It's Lucas! I think he's in trouble." He turned away and grabbed the walkie again.

"What's he saying?" Mike asked.

"Let me try something," Samantha asked.

"No! You're already drained." Dustin told her.

"Do you remember how he said he was looking for the gate? What if he found it?" Dustin said.

"Lucas, if you can hear us, slow down. We can't understand you." Mike called through the walkie.

"Yes, I copy!" Lucas breathed out. He was breathing heavily and yelling shit Samantha couldn't understand. "Do you!?" He yelled again. "They know about Eleven!"

"Shit." Samantha turned around to look at Eleven.

"Get out of there! They know about Eleven! The bad men are coming! All of them! Do you hear me? The bad men are coming!" Lucas screamed.

"'Mad hen'. Does that mean anything to you?" Dustin asked.

"He didn't say mad hen, you fool! He said, bad men!" Samantha yelled. She then started grabbing anything that could be useful to them.

"Stay here," Mike said, running off with Dustin.

"Where are you going?" Samantha yelled after them. She sighed before grabbing Eleven and making sure if they would have to run it'd be easy and fast.
