Y/n's pov:
I'm sitting on Ponyboy's bed, with my dad in front of me. Soda went to get Darry, to get my dad out of the house. He wanted Pony to go with him, but Pony wouldn't dare leave me alone. He was still holding me close, and I felt like throwing up. I started to cry again. I felt like giving up hope.

"Y/n? Hey, what's wrong?" I looked up at him. I barely spoke above a whisper.
"What's in it for me Ponyboy? I have nothing to live for. I never did." he looked so upset. Almost defeated in a way. And then.... He started to gently cry.
"Don't you..... Don't you ever say that again. You hear me? Never again."
"I'll-I'll never amount to anything.... And.... no one gives a shit about me anyway. Sometimes I wonder... what it would be like if I never existed. I go to bed every night hoping to never wake up again. My parents would be happier. So would I."
"Y/n-"
"Don't!" I broke down in tears. "I feel like everyone hates me, and that's ok! Y'know why? Because I hate me too."
"Y/n stop!" I was taken aback. He was also starting to break down as well.
"I love you Ponyboy." I said quietly. He looked up at me. Unsure of what to do, he just stared at me.
"I'm sorry. You probably hate me too-" I felt Pony put his hands on each side of my face and kiss me. When we finally broke away from each other, he looked me straight in the eye.
"I love you too..... So so much." He let out a few more tears. "Please don't give up."

So, Soda went to get Darry, leaving Pony and Y/n alone. Y/n is upset about her situation, and expresses it to Ponyboy. He gets angry and upset because of all the negative things she is saying about herself. Ready for the best part? Y/n out of stress confesses to Ponyboy that she loves him, and they kiss! Ponyboy says he loves her back, and he tells her to stay strong.
