"Good morning Ed." I said as I walked in for my second time at Capitol records.
"Morning Mr. Bryan." He said.
"You can call me Luke." I piped up.
"Alright mornin Luke. I am sorry about your sister." He said as he shook my hand.
I didn't say anything I just smiled and nodded my head.
"We'll follow me into my office." He said and I did so. "Coffee or water or anything? And when with your guitarist Michael come?" He asked.
"Yeah water maybe? And I told him nine so a half hour?" I smiled. And he nodded back to me.
"Ya know Luke, I've heard you on YouTube a few times an people have told me about you in Michael playin in bars. Immediately when I heard you were to do a Grand ol' oprey show I wanted to go and see how you played and how you did. You did amazing. So I wanted to just hear you again. I guess what I am trying to say is I want to sign you go Capitol records." He told me. Instantly when he said that my eyes shot up and glowed. I knew it.
"Sir don't you want to make sure of your decision before you sign me off?" I asked cautiously.
"I am sure Luke. You are a strong dedicate man. Your vocals are amazing and some songs you have writing are on point. I made the decision after the GOP show that I was signin you over. I mean of course if you want to."
"Of course I want to. You have yourself a deal. I'd love to be a part of Capitol records."I sounded excited.
"Also I just want to clarify that us as a Nashville music company we don't boss y'all around we like your input as well and we do things And try different things and we will always us the best sounding finishing product.." He said as he handed me the papers. I nodded and signed them. Then we heard a knock on the door.
"Michael Carter correct? Michael nodded "Edward Anderson. You can call me Ed." They shook hands.
"Nice to finally meet you. It's such a honor."
"My pleasure. Well basically so far Luke has just signed to be a part of Capitol records. And you." Ed smiled. "I'd like to hear y'all play a song then you're free to go."
We got in the room and strummed an we sang country man. And then we played ring of fire by Johnny Cash.
"Y'all are great. Such gifts." Carter and I just shy smiled. "I'll print out some schedules and we can get working. Well need to find a band."
"Actually we know a couple guys interested. We can get that covered." I piped up.
"Alright well as soon as that gets figured out well get everything organized and set." Ed said.
We were free to leave. Cart and I walked out to our trucks and when we got there we jumped up and down "yaasss!" We yelled then we bro hugged.
"Thank you Carter. A lot of thins couldn't happen with out you." And he said the same thing to me.
"So we'll meet at Johnny's bar at six tonight to celebrate?" I asked. Johnny's bar was a big bar that was connected to a night club located in Nashville. One of my personal favorites.
"Yes. See ya there!" Carter said.
And we pulled outta the parking lot and headed home..
