Thirty-Two Bridge (Luke Bryan)

I parked into the garage and just sat there until I felt like my tears were done falling. I shut the garage door and walked out. I saw a similar looking car. it wasn't a family members but some one from Nashville. oh great i thought, and i walked inside.

"Caroline. What the hell are you doing here?" Everyone just glanced at me shocked.

"Luke I thought I'd come since you didn't wait for me."

"How come all of a sudden you decide to care for me and be here? It hasn't been like that lately." I shot back at here.

"Luke I support you and your family Kelly was a good friend." I wasn't in the mood to fight but how were they good friends by meeting two weeks ago when I brought Caroline here?

"Look this isn't a good time to fight. I don't want to. We'll talk about it later alright?" I said irritatedly.
She shot a look back to me. And turned.

I wasn't fully happy with her. 10 days ago everything was fine. Until the conversation and the ride home. What did I do wrong? I shook the thoughts from my head. Mamma walked over to me and said "Luke can we chat?" Great she's gonna talk about Caroline. Why now. She used a tissue to wipe the tears from her eyes am we walked into the den.

"Thomas Luther what has gotten into you?"

"Ma, if its about Caroline I don't wanna talk about it. We aren't here to gather for my sake its for the families and Kelly's sake." I said and tried to walk out but she grabbed my arm.

"Luke you reek like beer. You left Caroline in Nashville and came alone. And ignored her texts and calls."

"Mamma we haven't been the greatest lately, she was ignoring me first that's why she didn't come. She wasn't answering me. An I didn't think I should bring the drama here. Kelly just passed away mamma....---" I cut out and choked up. "My older sister... My only sister..--" I had more things I wanted to say but momma pulled me in close and hugged me.

"Luke you need Caroline here to support you. And so does the family. We will consider her part of the family unless you split.. And Luke Kelly is up watching us right now so we should stop." Mamma said as she releases her nice warm hug.

"I love you mamma and don't forget it."
"Luther I love you."
I gave her a kiss on the cheek and we walked back to the kitchen. After that I noticed the kids on the floor playing so I went and played dolls an cars with them for a bit. Then went into the kitchen. They were all talking about funerals, and the wake, when and where. I mean everything. Who could go on this day or who couldn't. My eyes were red and watery along with mostly everyone else.

Luke has been very short with many people. Will he recover whatever he is going through? What do you think is his deal? What about Caroline?
