We got requested to do 'Cowboys like us'-George Strait, 'Boondocks' -little big town, and 'It's Your Love'-Tim McGraw. It's your love was a song that represented Caroline and I. When Carter and I sang it it really got to me. I don't know who requested it but it's tearin me down. Next Carter and I decided to do our cover of 'Apologize' that was great.

As we are singing I looked out to the audience and I saw girl. A beautiful woman. But she had a boy. Or man. Whateves. She was dancing on him. I just kept singing and I realized it was caroline. I was a fire hot head. I told Carter that we need to be done and I told him why.
"Luke so what. She's moved on. I understand why your pissed but why don't you move on."

"You're right. She's making me jealous so I need to do the same to her. We are playing the new song we wrote I know you are gonna be there. And I am gonna find a girl to bring on stage." I have the dirtiest dead headed mind. I took a swig of beer and we started to strum.

"This next one is one Carter and I wrote. Hopefully one day we'll have it on an album. It's called I know you are gonna be there."

I looked at Caroline and she was froze lookin up at me. I was singing and this pretty girl in the front was freakin out so I brought her on stage. She was dancing and I was laughing and joke in with her while we were singing. Caroline looked like she was getting jealous but she was doin the same to me. I was getting so pissed.

We were done playing and I brought the girl back stage with me.
"Well darling what's your name?" I asked her.

"Jasmine." She smiled.
We talked and I tried my best to feel something for her but I couldn't. The lyrics through my head of I know you're gonna be there were playing.
"Well ma'am I gotta go." I all of a sudden said.

"Bye Luke." She winked.

I bolted off the stage and ran to the bar to carter. I told him I was leaving.
"I'm leaving. I can't stand it here. I need to go home."

"Luke. You need to stop.."
I shook my head and walked towards the door. Then I ran into some one.
"Kaitlynn?" I said.

"Luke. Oh my gosh. Hey!"
Kaitlynn is Caroline's like best friend. She's amazing too. Her and I are pretty close but we haven't seen each other since Caroline and I.

"Hi." I said and I looked down.

"What's the matter Luke?"

"Just Caroline. I can't even be 'me' knowing she's with some one else. It hurts."

"Well you shouldn't have broke her heart..."

I looked straight up at her. Glossy eyes. And sorrow in my face.
"What? I didn't break her heart. She broke mine."

Kaitlynn looked at me. "She told me you broke up with her. And you didn't want her anymore."

"Well shit. That's incorrect. She broke up with me." I said and turned around to walk away.

"Wait Luke.."

"What? Why should I stand here and ache.?" I asked.

"I just don't understand why she lied. Since the day you guys broke up she talks about you every day."

I turned around and just looked at her. "What?"
"there isn't a day that goes by where she doesn't bring you're name up. She talks about how she misses you all the time."

"Then why is she with that guy. If she missed me then why doesn't she call. Or something"

"Maybe she's scared Luke.."

"Scared of what?"

"Your future. She doesn't want you to change and just leave her."

"Kait. You and I both know that I would never ever do that."

"You're right but does Caroline?" She asked.

"Why would she make it sound like my fault. How am I supposed to know. We weren't together that long. We were so distance then Kelly passed away. What was I supposed to do." A tear rolled down my face.

"I am not stickin up for her here. I don't know."

"You're her best friend maybe you should talk to her." I turned around and walked away.
