After talking to Mr. Morton, we figured out that somebody was killing demons. All of the victims who were possessed had the same weird obsession with digging for something, which was weird, even by our standards. We decided to talk with Wendy Rice, the last person to see Ann Morton alive. When we knocked on the door, Wendy answered the door with large blue and purple curlers in her hair.
"Special Agent Lynne," Sam said. "These are my partners, Special Agent Tandy and Special Agent Bevan. We'd like to ask you a few questions about Ann Morton."
"Oh," Wendy chuckled self-consciously, playing with a curler. "Uh, uh, uh, of course. I had never met her before she called the other night."
"Now, why was she calling you?" I asked, rolling my eyes at how the woman was ogling the brothers.
"She was looking for an original map of the city."
"Did she say what for?" Sam asked.
"Well, she- she didn't, but she did mention an- an old orchard that had gone missing," Wendy stammered.
"Missing?" Dean repeated.
"This- this town was wiped from the earth by one of the river's 100-year floods. It was- it was rebuilt. But all the records were- were lost," she smiled, playing with a curler again. "I'm- I'm a PhD candidate. And this- this is my research. I, uh... my dissertation is- is on the history of this town, and, uh, it's connection to the Underground Railroad and- and- and whatnot."
She was practically drooling as she hopped up eagerly, bringing over a bright pink binder and pulling out a map.
"I've been working to re-create a map for years as part of my research, and this- this is the old Jakubiak orchard there," she pointed to a section of the map. "I found out yesterday it's where Downey meets Bond Street."
"Now, did Ann say why she was looking for the site of an old orchard?" I asked.
"No. We- we set a time to meet, and she never showed. Then I read about her in the paper. It's just tragic. Ann's assistant called this morning, though, asking if I still had the map."
"Assistant?"
There were several knocks at the front door.
"Oh. That's probably him. Maybe he can help."
She got up to answer the door, Sam, Dean and I trailing behind her.
"Oh. Are- are you-?"
Wendy opened the door to reveal four men. As we came into their view behind Wendy, their eyes turned demon black. Wendy screamed as the four demons burst through and started fighting us. She was flung into the living room, smashing into the coffee table. The demon who flung Wendy grabbed the map and ran out the door. I used my powers to exorcise the demon who came after me, and before Dean could use the knife on his demon, it smoked out and went into Wendy. He ran after her as she bolted for the door. Meanwhile, Sam was being bested by the final demon, who was suddenly burned out by Castiel who tossed the body aside. He was holding the demonic Wendy by the hair curlers.

"Put this on your shoulder," Dean told Sam, tossing him an ice pack.
"I'm fine," Sam said, throwing the pack on the floor.
Dean took a seat next to him on the couch while I sat down in a chair nearby. Cass came into the room from the kitchen a moment later.
"The other demon escaped," he informed us. "I bound the one I caught in a Devil's Trap. I'm gonna interrogate it now."
"Wait a second," Sam protested. "Cass. How about you answer some questions first. Like, where the hell have you been?"
"You heard me, didn't you?" I guessed.
