Dean, Cass and I were in the Impala while Sam and Mrs. Tran followed in her car. We'd driven to an old factory that was supposedly where Crowley was keeping Kevin and the other prophets. As we climbed out, Sam handcuffed Mrs. Tran to the steering wheel of her car.
"Sorry, Mrs. Tran," he apologized.
"Wait, what?!"
Dean opened the trunk of her car.
"This it?" he asked the demon.
"Yes," it confirmed.
"My son is in there!" Mrs. Tran yelled, mad at Sam.
"Which means Crowley already has leverage," Sam explained. "He doesn't need another hostage."
I watched Dean kill the demon with the knife, causing the familiar orange lightning to flicker throughout its meat suit before slamming the trunk shut once more. Sam climbed out of Mrs. Tran's car, joining us.
"Oh, come on!" Mrs. Tran protested.
We moved down a flight of stairs and under pipes. At a sign from Dean, we all stepped back out of sight as a demon approached us. Dean stabbed it with the knife, and it's head glowed with yellow light as it died.
"Alright. Ellie and I will check this way," Sam said.
We went off to the left while Dean and Cass went right. Inside the factory, we moved down another flight of stairs, stopping short when we saw four demons. Exchanging a look, Sam nodded at me. I took the lead, making ourselves known to the demons.
"Dawson and Winchester," one of the demons greeted us, all four of their eyes flashing black.
"Looks like you guys got us," I chuckled.
As the demons approached us, Sam took a bottle out of his jacket and threw it on the ground at their feet. We both covered our faces as a bright light flared and the demons burnt up and disappeared. When the light died down, we could see the shadows of the demons burnt into the wall behind where they'd just been standing.
We continued to move through the factory, and came across a door. I tried the handle, but it was locked, so I stepped back and kicked it open. Inside the room was an octagonal table covered in blood.
"Oh no," Sam breathed.
The future prophets that had been nabbed all slowly surfaced from underneath the table. I noticed Aaron Webber, the five-year-old boy, peek around a concrete block. All of them were also covered in blood.
"Hey. Uh... we're here to help," I informed them.
⁘
We managed to get Kevin and all the future prophets out. However, Crowley got away with half the demon tablet thanks to Cass. Apparently, despite the fact he still wasn't at full strength, he went in without Dean and tried to stop Crowley. While Sam was talking with Kevin and Mrs. Tran, Dean and I stood at the Impala's trunk with Cass.
"That was a bonehead move back there," Dean informed him. "You could have gotten yourself killed. Why didn't you wait for me?"
"Well, I didn't get killed. And it worked."
"And if it didn't?"
"It would have been my problem."
"Well, that's not the way I see it."
"Hey, everything is not your responsibility," Cass informed Dean. "Getting me out of Purgatory wasn't your responsibility. Either of you."
"You didn't get out," I jumped in. "So whose fault was it?"
