Cabin In The Mountains

The car comes to a complete stop as Felix shakes my arm lightly. I blink a couple of times to get the blurriness out of my eyes. I pull up my car seat and stretching my arms slowly.

"What's wrong love?" I ask as I look around seeing the bright lights of the gas station glaring around us. I check the time on the car radio '10:30' how long will this road trip be? Is he getting tired of driving by now maybe?

"Nothing, I was just waking you to see if you wanted anything inside or anything like that?" Felix going alone in a gas station that neither of us is familiar with? No way.

"I'll just go in with you." He shakes his head and patted my head smiling bright.

"I can go by myself, I'm only going to pay for the gas. Your car almost ran out of gas so that's why." I handed him 30 dollars but he shakes his head declining the money " I'll pay for it though since it was my idea to do this road trip out of the blue. I have enough money Hyunjin, besides I don't like taking money from anyone."

"I need to stretch my legs anyways. After all we have been in the car for a little while now"

He raises his eyebrow looking at me up and down "Are you sure it's just your legs that need to be stretched?"

Oh I swear this boy is just asking for the car to be rocking. I grabbed the water bottle acting as if I was about to throw it but he shuts the door quickly before I could splash him.

I swear if I wasn't around he would lose his head if it wasn't attached to his body. I grabbed the keys out of the engine and tossed it to him. He's lucky that he has me to look out for his little clumsy mistakes.

I unbuckled my seatbelt and followed him in even though he didn't want me to.  "Last one in there has to pour ice down their shirt" Felix said as he starts running inside. Does he not know how to be safe? So instead of getting in a wreck again, he's going to get ran over? Like I would want either thing to happen but in a way, he isn't using his head. Where in the world does he get these ideas?

"Lix, be careful." I ran quickly to catch up to him because I don't want to be freezing all the rest of the way to this mystery destination.

Felix made it to the door first, great... iceland for me. I hope wherever the hell he is taking me, that it at least has a hot tub where I can warm up.

We go inside together as he also gets a water and I also got a water and handed him the money for it but yet again he declined.

I leaned against the car as he pumped the gas since he forgot to unlock the door as he still has the glass of ice in his hand when pumping the gas.

"Alright lover boy, do your worst" I winked at him. I'm not scared of getting a little bit of ice in my clothes. He finishes pumping the gas and walks over to me.

He takes off the lid and pops a piece of ice in my mouth. I take another piece of ice out of the cup and put it in my mouth as I quickly transfer it into his mouth.

He smacks me on my chest smiling "Hyunjinie, not in public." I looked around the parking lot.

"Um, who is going to see us? The squirrel? I can guarantee that the gas station person will not give a damn as they just want to go home. Maybe billy bob across the city wants to see some boy action."

Felix shakes his head laughing. He dumps the ice on my head quickly as I let out a quick yelp.  Shit that's cold, I take the pieces of ice out of my underwear and shirt. I start to shiver as the ice is getting my body temperature turn cold.

The drive to our destination was peaceful as we sang along to the music on the radio as Felix had his hand in mine as I had my right hand out the window feeling the night breeze against my hand.

We finally arrive at the destination as we pull up to the wooden cabin. The patio has a table with two chairs on the deck, I'm guessing to look at the view of the mountains and to relax.

On both sides of the wooden steps up to the front deck to the front door is candles lit up in a row. It was a part of my special instructions as there is many other surprises he has to see.

He looks at me confused "Are you sure this is the right place? I mean it looks like someone is staying here already. I mean look at the lit candles."

"Yes, I know it is as it was one of my requests." Out of many but he doesn't have to know that just yet.

"But why? And it's very romantic of you baby" he looks at me confused but still grateful. His eyes dances around the surroundings but it is also kinda hard to see as nighttime is still apon us.

"Because after everything we have been through, I want to thank you for everything to give you the perfect week just to relax. I know you always wanted to see the mountains. But of course there are other things that Deogyusan has to offer.

Luckily I added extra clothes to his suitcase as he only packed enough for the weekend. I tossed him the keys to the cabin as we get out of the car.

We made the way up the stairs and sat down at the table first. "Just imagine lix, drinking a warm drink while staring out at the mountains as the sunrises"

That sounds great, however I'm a night owl so I'm more likely to still be in the king sized bed more than out here but for memories I will for him..

After a little while longer of chatting with each other, we walk up to the pretty mahogany door as Hyunjin puts the key in the lock and turns it. Here's to a heavenly and hellish week.
