Lisa

"I'm not planning to stay this long, in this city". I admitted, "In fact, I already found the thing I was looking for". My gaze turned to Jennie, who cleared her throat and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Baby, I'm going to go cook lunch".

Baby my ass.

"No, you aren't doing anything today. Let's go eat lunch in this restaurant, we can go all of us. Lisa, are you coming?".

"I don't want to burden—".

"It's settled then, you're coming with us". Woobin muttered.

If he only knew.

-

The restaurant was beside his bar. It wasn't as big as the other ones that I saw on the way, but it was very classy and aesthetically pleasing to be in. There was Jazz music playing in the background as we entered and found a booth.

We ordered as Jennie and Woobin sat across from me.

How awkward is it, to sit with your ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend? Her boyfriend didn't know that I had my hands on his girl every chance I got.

"So Lisa, I forgot to ask. But what brings you here? To this city?".

I looked over at Jennie who avoided my gaze and answered him, "Actually, I came here to find someone".

Her head shot in my direction as she warningly glared at me.

"Someone?". He questioned.

You're so clueless.

"Yeah, but I realized that my presence was pretty much unneeded". I admitted and watched her roll her eyes.

"Did you find them yet?". Woobin curiously asks.

"Yes".

She's sitting right beside you.

"I hope you and whoever you were looking for, are on good terms". He looked down at his food, then grabbed his drink. I licked my lips and smiled, "I don't think my ex-girlfriend wants to be on good terms with me".

"Ex-girlfriend?". He raised his brows as Jennie started choking on her food.

I nodded and excused myself to the bathroom.

It's funny how to me, the pain that I felt can slowly change into wicked mind games that don't seem to end.

Hurried footsteps follow me.

As soon as the door closed behind me, I knew what was coming. "What was that out there, Lisa?". Jennie angrily looks at me through the mirror. "You wanna blow my fucking cover?".

I smiled to myself.

"Whatever action comes out of me, just know that it's a reflection of the person you made me be". I admitted, "Jennie, I sleep every night, thinking about how another man has his hands on you. Do you think that makes me feel uneasy?".

She came closer, "Why can't you understand that we're done? That whatever there was between us. It's done. Gone".

"Easily said from someone like you". I sarcastically met the passive-aggressiveness in her voice.

"Jennie, you bury our love, like it won't bury me fucking alive too!". I raised my hands, as they fell to my sides. "You pretend to be clueless, stuck in this damn fucking denial when whenever I touch you, you give in. You always do".

I whispered, "Explain to me, why?".

Jennie opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Her brown eyes searched mine. Those eyes knew that I would stay. They understood the science behind my heartbeat or the sad tone that came from my voice when we were alone. She remained a strong, stubborn woman, whenever it came to me.

Jennie had innocence written in her eyes, but she still mirrored the pain in my heart.

But whatever came out of her mouth was either violent or sweet.

Her eyes softened, and her voice came out low but she made sure to make her words clear, "Lisa, I don't want to confuse you anymore. And I don't want to start something that I know I'm not capable of finishing. You won't understand and I can't find the right words to explain my reasons, so please, don't make this hard on me and yourself..".
