Chapter 3

"Hey, goodmorning." I greeted my neighbor. I was going to my hospital now. My cousins and I managed to establish a hospital in the Philippines and the States. With the help of my Kuya too.

"Goodmorning." He greeted back after pausing for a moment. I was wearng a black dress na three inches ang taas sa tuhod. I was also wearing black heels and in my right hand was my bag. I was also carrying my phone. Nakasabit naman ang puting coat ko sa right hand ko. "Going to work?" He asked.

Tumango ako. "Yeah." sagot ko. "So, you finally became a doctor, yeah?" I nodded.

"Yep. And my family has my own hospital too." I said proudly. "How about you? Finally became a businessman?" I said and he smiled. God, I miss those smiles. Snap out of it Jordan!

Sumakay na kami sa elevator. I pressed B2 kasi doon nakapark ang sasakyan ko. "What floor?" I asked. "B2 din ako." He answered. I nodded naman.

Pagkalabas namin ng elevator ay sasakay na sana ako sa kotse ko. "Can I drop you off instead?" Tanong niya. I faced him. "No, thanks. I have my own car." sagot ko at bubuksan na sana ang pintuan ng kotse ko ng biglang...

"Please? Then we can have dinner later. Just for old times sake?" He said. I faced him and smiled. I don't want to look pissed infront of him. "Fine." sabi ko. He smiled and he led me to his car.

Pumasok na ako and I waited him to get in. His black Ferrari smelled so manly just like him. Sumakay na siya and we drove off.

"Dyan na lang." sabi ko at tinuro ang driveway ng Quintos Medical Hospital. He stopped. "Salamat." sabi ko. I got off the car and I started to walk.

"Jordan!" he called. Lumingon ako. Nagtaas ako ng kilay. "I'll pick you up at around 6pm for dinner. See you later." I smiled at him and nodded.

Naglakad na ako palayo. Binati ako ng guard. "Good morning, Doctora. Boyfriend niyo?" He asked. Umiling naman ako at umalis na.

"Here are the vitamins that you should drink for the baby to be healthy. Iwasan din ang mastress, okay Misis?" I said. The girl infront of me happily nodded while the husband held his wife's hand. I smiled at them at inabot ang reseta. After nun ay lumabas na sila.

I leaned on my seat. That was my last patient for today. Marami akong naging pasyente ngayong araw. Like in the States. The only difference is, sa States mga bata ang buntis. 15 na ang pinakabata and they were always alone.

I sighed. I checked my wristwatch it was already 6:15. I didn't mind. I gathered all my things and I left my clinic. May mga ilang bumati sakin na nurse at binati ko rin sila pabalik.

"Doctora, kanina pa naghihintay yung lalaki sa'yo." sabi ni Manong. I smiled at the guard. "Hayaan mo siya, Manong."

Pagkalapit ko ay kitang kita ang paglukot ng mukha ni Chance. Tumikhim ako kaya napatingin siya sa direksyon ko. He looked at me at agad nanlambot ang ekspresyon niya. He went to my side. "You're late." He said. Nagtaas ako ng kilay.

"I had many patients today. It's not my fault that I'm late." Hindi ko napigilan na sabihin. "I'm sorry. I didn't meant to.." He said. I cut him off.

"Yeah yeah. Get in the car and drive. I'm hungry." sabi ko. Agad naman niyang sinara ang pinto at mabilis na umikot para makarating sa kabilang side at makasakay ng kotse.

We were quiet while driving. Actually, pagod na talaga ako. I just want to rest. Pagkauwi ko talaga tutulog na ako.

Chance parked infront of an expensive restaurant. Pagkapark niya ay lumabas siya ng kotse at pinagbukas ako. Inalalayan niya akong lumabas pagkatapos ay sinara niya ang pintuan.
