Chapter 31 Action started

-Aiden's POV-

We had a plan, all that was left was to execute the plan. Rasmus was extremely useful when it came to figuring out dates, since it was fast approaching Christmas. I had a feeling that Christmas would be cancelled this year, mam would be recovering from her illness and we were going to break into Travis' house.

"We're going to go around the back," Moss said to us all as we sat around a table. "The back isn't as heavily guarded as the front because the front has more visitors." I didn't know why he was speaking as though he knew this for definite, nobody had been to Travis' house, save for Dean. Even Dean was a little bit apprehensive about how well he knows the place.

"Wouldn't it be more conspicuous?" Kian asked with a hand on his chin. Moss shrugged lightly in response before turning the map around.

"What's that?" A member of Arkin's pack asked as he pointed towards the small orange man in the corner of the piece of paper.

"It's from google maps," I replied, even though they probably didn't know what that was. "It's a website where you can look at people's houses and anywhere in the world really."

"Unless you're a student," Harlow interjected, "Then you're probably heading straight to your house to show your classmates." I would've shook my head but that was very true. The confused audience members nodded. A lot of them still had confused eyes.

"We don't know what it's like inside either," Alora brought the conversation back around to the initial topic. "It could be like a maze in there. Who knows what he's got planned?" Karim cleared his throat. I jumped slightly and whirled my head to face him. He was standing next to Emi, very awkwardly, against a wall. I had almost forgotten that the two of them were there. Karim wore a hoodie, which covered the majority of his face. He also kept his head down.

"We've been in there before," Karim said hesitantly. Murmurs erupted all around the room, wondering how someone would have been inside the enemies house. "Our guardians work for them," he continued to speak in the same tone.

"How do we know you're not with them?" Even though I couldn't see it, I felt the glare being sent towards Dillion. Karim reached up and pulled his hood down, revealing the many facial scars he had collected. "Only slightly comforting."

A woman who I hadn't spoken to stood up and walked over to Karim with an intrigued look on her face. "Acanite," she mumbled. "It does look like something he'd do." She walked back to her previous position again.

"You know our situation," Ralph stated boldly. "You know what happened to our previous alpha." The room grew still once again. "He was tortured along with karim, we can trust them." Dillion and Kian opened their mouths to argue but they just sighed and shook their heads.

"There's five bedrooms upstairs," Karim started and pointed towards the house on the map. Emi was standing behind him now since he had to push himself off the wall to see the map. "Two sitting rooms, a large kitchen and two bathrooms. Why he needs that big of a house is beyond me." Karim shook his head to discard the thought.

"What's in the bedrooms?" Waverly asked with a hand on her chin. She received many wide eyes in response to ehr question. "What?" Her own eyes widened and her face became red. "One person doesn't need five bedrooms, is what I meant." She stumbled over her words.

"Office, guest room, guestroom, meeting room." Many eyebrows were raised at Emi. "I liked the office the best, you could sneak out of that." Karim nodded before his eyes widened and he turned to look at her completely.

"Do you think we could sneak in that way?" Alora had seemed to catch ontot he meaning of Karim's expression. Emi nodded quickly in response before moving to hide back behind Karim.

"We sneak in, great. Then we just give him hell?" Rasmus furrowed his eyebrows as his eyes darted from one person to the next.

"Yes." Ashton said simply.

I didn't really agree with the plan. I wasn't a fan of it at all but it had to be done this way, it was far easier, so I was told. Three members from each pack were chosen to go to Travis' home. We chose Moss, Elowen and Rhodes. We had considered sending Moss, Tempest and Beaumont, three of the strongest members, but it was clear that strength wouldn't be lacking in the group. Karim had decided to join the group as well, he claimed that he couldn't get anymore beat up then he already had been, also pointing out that he'd been there before.

They were sent off with well wishes and a lot of hugs. There were at least seven wolves in the meeting room at a time. The pups had shifted into their wolf forms as well. Abilene had her hands full, along with the other caretakers. It was rather adorable seeing so many wolf pups at a time. I didn't have a lot of time to dwell on these facts due to the amount of info which was being piled in.

"I haven't done anything like this in years," A pale faced Eben said to me as we sat next to each other. Ralph was conversing with the other wolves and trying to figure out what's actually going to happen next.

"You've done this kind of thing before?" I furrowed my eyebrows and leaned forward. My eyes were focused on Harlow and Emi, who were sitting by the wall and playing with a ballet why'd found. They would occasionally throw it for one of the pups, who would catch it and roll it back to us.

"Whether or not you believe it, this is peaceful." He chuckled and shook his head. "We've come a long way as a society. My parents used to fight for our lives every day due to the conflicts between packs." He looked off intot he distance, his eyes not focusing on anything.

"What happened?" He blinked a few times and shook his head with a grin slowly forming.

"It was like a children's book." I furrowed my eyebrows at the simple statement so he went on. "Or Romeo and Juliet." I nodded and made a noise of understanding.

"Love conquered all huh?" He nodded slowly with a twinkle in his ancient eyes. "That seems a bit too good to be true."

"That it does," He said a bit more enthusiastically and slapped his hand on my knee a few times. "I think we've found it again though. You and Ralph, I hope so anyway. You two have come so far." I hummed lightly before my eyes then moved towards Ralph.

His long hair was tied back, He had a pencil in his hand which he was constantly fiddling with. He wore light jeans and a plain brown top. I could still see all of his muscles though. It had been a long time since we were able to properly relax. With the threats coming closer and closer, I longed more for those days which we never really had.
